serious question oscar...

i know spiritsoul started with a progressive sound, are you finding that the user base is resistant to this newer stuff you're playing?

just curious

Posted by woscar on Dec-14-2009 18:29:

Yeah, a lot actually.

Just got around to listening to them both today. Woscar, I always look forward to your sets, even if I do tend to know a lot of the tracks I still like to here them mixed together in a coherent fashion with a nice, smooth flow, something you never seem to have any problem doing. I like the way your sound seems to be taking on a techier, darker direction, at least to my ears anyways. Bas, your set was exactly what I needed to hear this morning, loved every minute. Disco-house/balearic stuff can be slightly hit-and-miss for me, but I think you nailed it with this one. Top stuff from both of yous.

Thanks mate, glad you're enjoying these

Just got around to hearing both of these in full.

Oscar your last mix was slightly more melodic and I think I enjoyed it more, but this one had a lot of tracks I'm really into at the moment. Mixing was great, only thing I can say is keep digging a little more.

Bas, I've got to say I'm not really into the whole nu-disco thing, but I actually enjoyed yours a lot. It was a fun mix with some cool tracks. Maybe I need to explore it a little more.

Stick with me kiddo

oscar, as someone who's followed your stuff with interest, got mixed opinions about this set. Personally, I like it when you're more melodic with touch of tech. Something about this set doesn't resonate with me like some of your other sets have.
Maybe I'm so sick of bloopy tech. On other hand, you'd love to party in toronto because this stuff is about all the Toronto locals play

Bas, excellent stuff mate. Of all the sets I've heard, I find this one to be more varied in terms of style, yet you managed to get them all in a coherent way that sounds pretty damn good. Esp loved the more deep sounding tunes in the set

Thanks for listening Yohan.
