So are you a label? What have you released? How many releases have you had? How well did they go?
And why you offering payment?

Just questions you need to post up before either being ignored or someone posting a stupid picture.

So you're looking for "mixers" to produce trance tracks?

This is going to go well

What have we done?????

Well, Since 2004 we have been performing, writing and producing for the Top Electronic Dj's in the world. We have stuff released on Armada, Nettwerk Records, Perfecto, EMI. We've had #1 releases. The Dj's that play our stuff as they perform...Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, BT, need more???
We've been on multiple "State of Trance" cds. If interested simply reply. If you think it's funny.......So be it!

Great for you, but what the fuck is the name of the label? Are you even a label or are you saying you're a production outfit that wants to push other people's material to labels that you have had releases on?

Seriously, I'm not having a crack at you - I'm just saying you should look at how some of the labels (and their managers) and Artists approach artists on here then try again.

Coming on here saying we're looking for "mixers" to give us tracks for a christmas release, and you'll "pay for them" isn't really giving anyone much to work with.

Just as Armin does and compiles artist work....."State of Trance" "Trance World" those a compilations, Right. We want work that is that of Trance/Techno Christmas tunes. If we like what you submit....It may end up on a CD.

Posted by thumper5 on Dec-11-2009 19:45:

Once we compile the selections we will shop it to a label.

Sounds legitimate and almost believable. Should I send my bank account number and PINs as well?

It all sounds good and proper , but people aint gonna give you something that may not work , then worst case senario , Tiesto's new album is exactly the same as a forthcomin TA album.

Posted by thumper5 on Dec-11-2009 19:58:

Those that are interested please send an email inquirey.... [email protected]. The rest good luck getting signed or any product out into the market.....And by the way you were signed with who?????

So now it's a compilation?

So what you're actually doing is looking for artists to give you their unsigned material, so you can shop it a label? (and take a cut?)

And the CD is going to be available where?

And what labels will you shop it to?

And how will you protect our material?

And how many compilations have you put out like this?

And what are the terms of the payments/deal?

And is it mixed? (if so by who?)

And what is Christmas trance?

But I do know people on here wont respond to your post without it being described more clearly.

If it needs a wall of text , so be it.

Posted by thumper5 on Dec-11-2009 20:16:

Well Britney Spears CD is a compilation of other peoples work. I bet you wish you had one on her CD?

Lets make it simple. If you would like to create a piece of music (Make it Christmas Trance)be creative...just like some of these artists have put out Rock-N-Roll Christmas CDs.....They take the standard song and put a rock twist to it. We are seeing how creative you writer/producers are out there. Contact us and we'll work all of the other details out 1 on 1. That won't be done on the Forum. We also don't want you to just send us your stuff. Put something together....we'll talk...then see where we go from there.

so we have till next christmas to make it?

Posted by thumper5 on Dec-11-2009 20:22:

Yes the Snowman Theme....Stuff like that. Don't worry time wise. Some of these project we do can take a year or so. A trance version or "Silent Night" I don't know how you would do it but I bet we can get some real great stuff. "Carol of the Bells"....any thing you think has a Christmas theme or meaning to you! We have some great questions coming to us over email...thanks guys!

Aren't you a little late or are you hoping to have this released for Christmas of 2010? There's no way you can put it together in the two weeks before Christmas.

But regardless, you're not going to receive anything useful by posting on random internet forums. A "Chistrmas Trance" compilation isn't a terrible idea, but you have to approach individual arists. In the end, if you're going to want a sell-able product, rather than an amateur AudioJelly release, you're going to need to approach artists with one thing: money. Any artist who is decent enough to help you pull this off won't be interested unless they see their bank account grow first.

Try thinking first before putting yourself out like this.

Alanzo got a time machine as an early Christmas present.

@thumper5 - as stated by adi_hanson, DJ RANN, et al., I think people would take you more seriously if you offered some specific info about yourself - what is the name of your company, which specific songs have you gotten signed and to which labels, do you have a website, etc.? Dropping names of famous DJs and using a gmail account doesn't give you much credibility and makes many people skeptical - sorry, but that's the truth. And, yes many, if not most, of the regulars here are signed to labels, which can be easily seen by looking at or clicking on some people's signatures. And, condescending remarks like "good luck getting signed" don't really do much other than turn people off. Just some friendly advice. Good luck with this endeavor anyways (sorry, but I personally hate Christmas music! )

BTW, I see you're in Lansing - MSU student/grad? I got my BS/MS there years ago - Go Spartans!
