i'm definitely going this year.

Posted by sweetcandy girl on Dec-29-2009 04:14:

Not sure if I am going to go this year or not... after seeing the Trance Energy line up this year I am aiming to go too that.

Posted by Clovis on Dec-29-2009 04:30:

Only if there's good music booked.

Posted by TulliNation on Dec-29-2009 05:22:

Been going every year since 2005. I love Coachella!! Although last years overall lineup was kinda meh.

I have a feeling Orbital will be there this year.

Posted by Lomeli on Dec-29-2009 05:54:

Depends on the line-up. We shall see.

Hopefully they'll have some good reggae and jazz acts.

Im going to predict a lot of electro again but i think we will see more house this year as i feel like a lot of the electro guys have started putting their take on house music and a lot of electro kids are fans of Laidback Luke and SHM type stuff.

predictions:

Tiesto, Underworld, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Richie Hawtin, Tiga, 2manyDJs, Kaskade, Chuckie, Laidback Luke, Calvin Harris, Rusko, Wolfgang Gartner, Luciano and Chase and Status.

i've never been, but my bday is the 17th and one of my best friends who i brought along to lovevolution is from indio. hes attended this coachella festival before, so im gonna see if he wants to do it this year and if so to bring me along(depending on the acts booked of course)

Posted by Nerologic on Dec-29-2009 23:55:

I hope LBL plays at Coachella, it would lock me in on going there.

But i doubt it, i bet like Bart B More, Afrojack, or Samson will play along the side of a sweed.

when do they typically release the official lineup?

Most of the lineup is released around late January. Then, around late February and early March, they tend to announce a couple of extra major headliners.

I won't be going; DEMF calls my name this year.

Nice predictions! I was disappointed w the lineup last year too...they need to bring back the old days w SOLID EDM lineups!

Posted by idoru on Dec-30-2009 03:29:

You're not going to get a "solid EDM lineup" and you're sure as hell not going to get Underworld.

Coachella can get ANYONE! All it takes is the right price

It's not tough to get Underworld at all. They're not some "rare, impossible to see" act. I'm simply saying that they've been heavily rumored for years, heavily asked for for years, but aren't being booked for the past few Coachellas. In addition, they don't have any new material out and aren't putting anything out around that time that will warrant the trouble it takes to come out here.

If they get booked, I'll give you my right nut.

Kindly explain their failed attempts at getting Boards of Canada.

Unfortunately, going to be missing it this year (first time since 2001): my brother planned his wedding that weekend (argh.)

About Underworld, when I talked to Karl in NY in 2008, he said it was really tough for him to tour in the US because of the pound-dollar conversion rate. But, then, they planned 6 North American shows last year...

I'd bet that they'd be a no for this year (after being in the states twice), but they did want to make up their show because of the Hard Summer mess-up...

Id say that the few acts that could pull me out there would be a pink floyd reunion or roger waters show, shpongle, red hot chili peppers, and an overall well put together EDM linup.

two of those already happened.
Roger waters 08 and RHCP 07

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Jan-08-2010 21:04:

I'm so there. I've been the past 3 years and it never fails to amaze, no matter who's playing almost. We should get the lineup by the 26th, I believe.
In response to a previous post regarding projected acts: both tiesto and underworld have been rumored. If Tiesto plays this time around, I'd hope it would be in the Sahara rather than at the main stage. I haven't heard Guetta's name bounced around and I'd almost rather he wouldn't be there.
How about a Lady Gaga performance in the Sahara??...like Maddona did a few years back. Hate all you want that shit would be quite enjoyable (and you know it).
Laidback Luke could be great! And 2manydjs??? That would be fuckin spectacular

Hoping for Eric Prydz to get booked.

They did Daft Punk,Depeche, Madonna in 06. Roger Waters performing DSOTM,Prince, Portishead,Fatboy Slim, Kraftwerk in 08, the Peppers, Bjork, and Rage in 07 and there's a good chance that shpongle will be there this year. The biggest rumor regarding the EDM for Coach this year is Orbital. We'll find out in a week or 2 when the lineup is out.

Posted by djjoshuaallen on Jan-09-2010 03:50:

all the acts i care to see have been through already in recent years but I was never up for it. Thats why the chances of me heading out are slim. Fat boy slim would be another reason for me to go. But Shpongle would be the deal maker, or like i mentioned another appearance by roger waters or RHCP.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Jan-14-2010 03:12:

looks like lcd soundystem will be there

Posted by JohnBeaver on Jan-14-2010 03:27:
