Sasha & Digweed : Delta Heavy
Guess i'm just vicariously nostalgic of the sound they were playing in those days. Wasn't old enough at the time to have experienced it live. Although i've heard quite a few sets from back then.
Did much of anybody on the forum go to any of the shows on that tour? if so, what was it like?
Amazing.
Great show! If I was there, it would have blown me away for sure :-)
btw what's the name of the track starting at 3:20?
edit: found it myself ->
Rui da Silva - Fire(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3tyXyFI2dg)
Not residing in America, I wasn't able to go to the tour itself. But I caught Sasha & Digweed many times during that era, and yeah.....simply amazing.
I would rather have seen some of their sets at Twilo before they did their Delta Heavy tour, but yeah, seeing a show or two off of this tour would've been swell.
Does anyone have any recordings of either Twilo nights or Delta Heavy nights? I've heard the EM ones, that's it
If I had a time machine going to Twilo would be in my top10.
Ah man, such great fucking tunes back then.
S&D delta heavy ftw.

the days of S&D at Twilo were in a league of its own
then again anyone who played Twilo was in a league of their own
March 28th 2002...twas an amazing night, be jealous nubbies
Sooo jealous. I've got a 3 part liveset of their Delta Heavy stop in Orlando if anyone wants me to upload.
I would kill to have seen them at Twilo. Fuck being 13 during that time period.
you made me feel old, now i'm jealous
that was them in their prime. they both have gone downhill since.
their prime was before that, delta heavy was simply the culmination of their popularity.

| Originally posted by stev which was when? i admit never been to one of their twilo shows or delta heavy, but just judging by all the livesets ive heard from them over the years, the '01, '02 delta heavy livesets sounded just as good and deep as some '00, '01 twilo sets. my favorite one is the one at twilo where there was a small fire and everyone had to leave the club and come back in. |

some links to livesets of different periods would be nice, like the 95-97 you mention.
never heard that renaissance mix but thats probably because other dj's on that series bored the piss out of me and deterred me from ever giving that series a try again. talk to me full master mix and mismoplastico are tunes i really like and are dancefloor friendly so maybe that mix is totally different from the other renaissance mixes.

Ok...I have:
Sasha - Live at Club Logic, LA 12.21.97
Sasha - Live at The Hacienda 12.13.89
Sasha - The Original Mixtape No. 1 1990
Sasha & Digweed - Live on KCRW 2000
Sasha & Digweed - Live on Groove Radio (not sure of the year, pretty sure it's 98-99...definitely pre Delta Heavy)
Sasha & Digweed - Live on Triple J 01.01.97
I think the Digweed set at Twilo was an Essential Mix from way back when.
Very few sets, if any at all existed with ones actually recorded in Twilo, unfortunately, by either digweed or sasha, supposedly they didn't allow recordings inside the Twilo club itself. The 1999 Twilo E.M. apparently wasn't actually in Twilo but it was more of a set that was based on a Twilo set played by Digweed. The only set I have which was actually IN Twilo by them is a 25 minute radio 1 mix.
Here's the only other recorded set I know of in Twilo played by either Sasha or Digweed:
John Digweed Twilo's 4th anniversary 03/30/2001
Intro - Fire Alarm
01. 00:01:21 Ogenki Clinic - First Light [Easy Access]
02. 00:05:17 Sound 5 - The Hacienda Must Be ReBuilt (Tarrentella vs Redanka Remix)
03. 00:12:08 Way Out West - The Fall (Bedrock Mix) [Distinct'ive Records]
04. 00:20:49 Kamaya Painters - Wasteland (Chab's 'Tribute To Bedrock' Remix)[Data]
05. 00:28:57 Hamel and Blackwatch - Discotek [Bedrock]
06. 00:34:56 Stripped Inc - GlitterBall [Coldtap]
07. 00:41:52 Mainframe - Mainframe [Fuju]
08. 00:48:51 Mad Dogs - Sudden Journey (Main Element Mix) [Silver Planet]
09. 00:54:50 Dilly - Paranoid Girl [MixMaster]
