Both the SF and NY gigs are SOLD OUT... so if you're planning on going to this LA gig, buy your tickets ASAPPPPP! First time LA appearance for both Nathan Fake and Four Tet. How anyone can miss this night is seriously beyond my comprehension.

I've been waiting to see Nathan Fake since early 2003, when I first heard "Outhouse" on Balance 005.

noob question but is echoplex outdoors? never been there and would love to check out nathan fake.

I've never been to Echoplex either. I hope it's not outdoors! I just looked on the website, and it said 325 capacity. Hmm, I think that's about the size of King King?

Apparently, there are 2 separate entrances to Echoplex. There is "Echoplex", which the entrance is in some alley off of Glendale Blvd. Then, there is "The Echo". which the entrance is on Sunset Blvd.

Here are a couple video's of Nathan Fake. Just watching him doing this crazy headbanging dance throughout his entire set is worth going to Echoplex to see him live lol...

OMG at the part that slowly drops a little after the 2 minute mark. Totally Border Community style.

What are the hours?

Here are a couple video's of Four Tet. OMG I found one of him playing "Moth". I REALLY hope he plays this song at Echoplex.

Hmmm, on the website, it says that it starts at 9pm, but it doesn't have an ending time. This could be a good thing... maybe they will let Nathan Fake & Four Tet play as long as they want (meaning like an 8 hour set lol)? *cross fingers and wishes*

Damn! Fake in LA? Never thought this would happen. Four Tet sort of looks like Hadi B.

Ya, I thought he looked like Hadi too haha!

I know, I can't believe Nathan Fake is actually coming to LA. I'm excited for this event. It's also exciting, because it's at a venue that I've never been to before, so I'm wondering how the crowd will be.

It's a pretty legit venue, big, spacious. A lot of quality bands play at this venue. It's not really known for dance music, more indie rock but they do have a few EDM nights. Mostly indie dance / nu disco, mainstream electro, occasional D&B, and rarely experimental / idm acts.

I have a feeling this is going to attract an artsy, KCRW eclectic crowd. Which I LOVE!!! I just need to find out if it's going to go past 2am.

I'd say that's pretty accurate, especially in IDM /electronic rock acts.

Is there any way you can get the night off?

This night is too special to miss. Even if they stayed open after 2am and you came at 2am, you would miss a majority of the night.

Yes, but I'm already missing some Saturdays for Sasha, maybe Digweed, and for a trip to SF & Vegas. Missing a whole month would be a lot of cash lost.

I'm thinking that instead of me playing prime time, I'll open up the club and have the other DJ headline. That way I can take off by 12am. Hehehe

Shit I'm going to buy this before it's sold out. Who is going for sure -- perhaps we can have a TA meet up before the show?

i've been to the echoplex a couple of years ago for Bootie LA http://www.bootiemashup.com/la/ and that night is very interesting and a lot of fun

I know Rob & Matt Xavier are coming... but Rob is too cool for TA these days.

I'm so excited that a lot of close friends are going to be there. It'll be nice to see old/friendly faces at a venue that is new to us.
