Nerds

These:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerds_(candy)

Where can I get these from? I want them. Does anywhere still sell them?

Posted by Fledz on May-13-2010 09:28:

Regular corner stores and the like still sell them in Aus. You seriously can't find any?

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on May-13-2010 10:00:

I've found a few stores online, but they're charging about 2 per packet, plus ridiculous shipping charges!

Posted by Zharen on May-13-2010 10:01:

I used to eat Nerds all the time back in the day. I could never pick favorites between the strawberry and grape nerds. Both were bomb.

Posted by Fledz on May-13-2010 10:04:

Email Nestle directly or stop by a local office. Should be able to get a better deal than online stores depending on quantity, and they can also point you to what stores still sell them or at least where they are distributed to.
2 pounds per packet is pretty rough.

Fuck me Mike, a nostalgia bomb has just exploded in my mind.

EDIT: Used to love these as a kid.

They're called milk bars.

Posted by Jackson on May-13-2010 11:33:

I think the Student Union shop at my uni sells them, I'll have a look next time and let you know. I can post them to you if they have some.

What the fuck is a milk bar? Are you in some backwards hole like Adelaide or something?

Posted by david.michael on May-13-2010 12:59:

Damn, you can't go anywhere without seeing these in the States. Seriously, I think every gas station, convenience store, and grocery in America has these.

I should show more Nerd-preciation!

Little bit of the old ultra-violence my dear Jenny?

Or perhaps some of the in-out in-out action for you?

Do you spell colour without a "u" too?

Posted by Fledz on May-13-2010 13:55:

Of course I do. "Colour" is the proper way to spell it in English, not that retarded American spelling. Once again, what does that have to do with anything?

Posted by david.michael on May-13-2010 13:58:

"Do" and "Don't" mean the opposite in Oz, though. :/

Posted by Tangil on May-13-2010 14:00:

Americans say "corner store", Australian's say "milk bar". It has nothing to do with backwardness.

Posted by Fledz on May-13-2010 22:49:

I said corner store for their benefit so they would understand. I've lived in Australia for close to 11 years, been to multiple cities and never have I heard the term "milk bar" be used. Ever.

Posted by Direct on May-13-2010 23:45:

nerds on sherbert ice cream. Shits good, man.
