Cool stuff in GTA 3
Just wanted a thread with some cool secret stuff in GTA 3...please share if you have any 
They have put in so many fun things in the game that you dont have to find to complete it...for example...did you know that it is possible to fly the airplane? We are not talking about jumping out from high hills but to actually fly it across the whole city...
I bet most of you know...ill post a little quick guide how to do it later if ppl are interested....
My friends brother also managed to get over a wall by jumping on some cars.... inside he found a sign:
"Youre not supposed to be here you know" 
BTW...has anyone found all the 100 packages? We are on our 73:d now or something...
I thought they made you unable to fly the aeroplanes after sep 11th? Please post how to do it.
this is for the PS2, so I can't say if it works, but it sounds like fun:
Requires: Playstation2
Easter Egg: To locate the invisible towns on the map:
1. At your home in Portland, enable the Dodo Car cheat (press Right direction on d-pad, R2, Circle, R1, L2, Down direction on D-pad, L1, R1).
2. Walk out on to the road and enable the Rhino Tank cheat (press Circle six times, R1, L2, L1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle).
3. Get inside the tank, and using the Right analogue stick, position the cannon so that it fires behind you.
4. Drive towards the water opposite your home and up on to the white ground. Turn right and carry on driving next to the water. Look at the map in the bottom-left hand corner of the screen. You should be headed for the corner of the island.
5. Keep driving until just before the train track is above your head. Now begin rapidly firing the cannon. As you approach the corner of the island, your tank will begin to take off into the air. Continue firing the cannon for about three seconds, then stop firing and release the accelerator.
6. Making sure you keep control of the tank, swoop down as close to the sea as you can go without falling in. Do not press the accelerator again unless the tank is in severe danger of falling into the water. If it is in danger, use a short burst of acceleration to pull away from the water slightly, then release the accelerator again.
7. You should see a grassy hill in front of you. This is not solid; you should fly right through it. Once you have passed through it, look at the map in the bottom-left hand corner of the screen. It should indicate that there is a road in the sea, although you can only see it on the map. Remember to make sure you are close to the water, and follow the road along. (Warning: The tank can become difficult to control at this stage, keep your speeds low and it should be fine, but whatever you do, don't press the accelerator, as this will make things worse.)
8. As you fly along the road and reach the end, you should notice that in front of you, the sea ends, with nothing else in front of it. (Warning: Do not cross this point as the game will crash.) The map in the bottom-left corner of the screen should show names nearby, such as Garytown and Christytown. These are the names of some of the developers. You can search for more like this around the very edge of the map.
A word of warning, this may take a few tries to get right, but it's quite interesting when you find it.
Well, if you complete the whole game.. (Do all the jumps, get all the packages, etc.) The tunnel in shoreside thats under construction will open up (or so I've heard)..
Errr.. To find the packages.. (cuz the last few are really hard to find) get one of the bigger truck things that you can stand on.. Yankee works best.. and try to get on all the roofs you possibly can 
I dunno, I just normally run over people.. screw finishing the game..
Also, does anyone else have it where the bling bling scramble + turismo keep playing over and over.. I've done them both atleast 10 times.. I think I broke it

We also found one by boat...that one was tricky 
Its hard but it works...
Im have the pc version. there is loads of stuff you can get for GTA3, new levels, tune the cars, change skins and change the power of the guns.
BTW...we should get a pic of the city map up here and point out all the packages...wouldnt it be cool
hehe.. That would be a good idea but it would be hard.. cuz I can't remember a single spot I found a package.. and im on 69 (h0h0)
whats the dodo car and the rhino tank cheat?
i just know the health, armor, money, and weapons cheats..
if there is more can u guys fill me in....thnx

the july issue of pcgamer has directions to all the hidden packages
you can fly the tank in the pcversion too
ive seen the sign that says "your not actualy suposed to be able to read this" too
have you filled the garages with all the cars on there lists? you supposedly get acess too everycar in the game

The writing on the seats in the stadium says Cocks... It's the Liberty City Cocks...
nothing happens when you get 100% in the game... i've wasted so much time to find that out...
you can get every car in the game by filling up those garages and getting the emergency vehicles.. actually there's a few you can't get... the bulletproff cars are hard to get (especially the cheetah)... there's ways to get the black limo (from the mob mission) and the car with the dead body in the trunk (from a disposal mission) too but i forgot how...
what's everyone's farthest jump and highest jump score?
I think i got the tank to fly over 700ft.... and scored a perfect triple insane stunt worth $3000+ with a banshee...

I'm completely sure... at least for the PS2 version... my friends and I played it to 100% twice and we never saw anything... also, everything on gamefaqs.com says nothing happens...

I noticed you left the flamethrower out there...my guess has always been that you can get that by completing alotof Fire-truck missions....ive done 200 now and nothing happens I almost did 100 i a row to..but i died at 89...lol...what happens? And do you get cool stuff bu completing taxi missions to?
awwww i feel sorry for you
to get the flamethrower you have to complete 20 firetruck missions on each island 60 in total
