tiesto worst remixer of 2002

i love tiesto he is my fav but.....he has had one good remix this year in my mind Southern Sun....his mixes of hungry and we are all made of stars suck....we know what you did sucked and his Saint Etienne remix is horrible

Posted by Rakoon on Jul-25-2002 22:55:

His remix for Saint Etienne was awesome. What are you talkin about? His only fault was We Know What You Did. Dont get mad at him for one bad remix. Thats just absurd.

Guy i dunno about u but tiesto fucking ownz!

Posted by teo on Jul-25-2002 23:28:

his best remix so far was southern sun imo, the other wasnt just as good as this..

When you have already produced and remixed TONS of tunes like Tiesto, there is a moment when you begin to be bad and bad and bad...result: you suxx and it's time to say goodbye because people hates your actually work!

I think that Dj Tiesto is in this cas. If he don't make efforts, I think he will loose all their fans forever.Ferry Corsten will have the same destiny if he don't make efforts too!

I write it because I read very often this forum and that is my conclusion of all threads I read about Tiesto and Ferry.

We need to have some new trance artists I think.

I sort of agree with you (at least about Tiesto). Most of his remixes lately have been pretty iffy. It seems like he's trying to get away from "normal" trance, but the results aren't usually very good. Perhaps he should stick to what made him famous...

Smile

the saint etienne song to begin with was horrible....no remixer could save it.

Posted by SiM PeRf on Jul-26-2002 00:02:

sincerely, people should stop blasting him ...
we cannot always ask the best from a guy that starting to get hated
he has done amazing stuff and lets just hope hell do some more thats it imo

WERD!

I think he's fucked up quite a bit lately, Gabriel & Dresden got him out of a mess with in my memory, and maybe he should cut down the number of remixes he does & release less but of a better standard, win ppl who think he's lost the plot a bit like me back over

hahaha, i agree, wtf is this, Tiesto bashing time? did you people already forget about Oakenfold and you need another dj/producer to attack? i'm just LMAO caz all this is bollocks and all the Oakenfold bashings didn't accomplish absolutely anything.... neither will this one, only more flaming...

you may say i have a poor taste, but i like the saint etienne and the moby, and the hungry, and the we know what you did tunes. and i don't care what you say, or whatever happens, tiesto, oakenfold, pvd, avb, and fc will always be in my top 5 for all the little things the've done.

just like any other producer-bashing thread. you're just all greedy and want more and more and can't appreciate the complicated lives and efforts of the people who try and bring music to you...

yeah, so here's my 10 cents, my 2 cents are free.

m8 i think thats goin a bit to far to say that, and the remix of saint etienne is nice, i thik because this man has produced many great tracks and remixes over the years that everyone expects summat better from him each time, unforunately this aint the way it works and people need to lay of the guy a bit more as he is only HUMAN

Posted by ampburner on Jul-26-2002 01:01:

lol, I have to agree that some of his remixes aren't as great as they used to be, but I liked SS and hungry. the Moby remix is ok too, just not the vocal version you ppl need to chill

Posted by DJ Chrono on Jul-26-2002 03:01:

from a production standpoint it would be hard to continuously produce amazing work,

especially if you have to always outdo your last track.

Here's an IDEA!!!!!...i KNOW what you should do when you HATE ON Tiesto....i figured it out....

DON'T LISTEN TO HIM !!

Generally, that's my point.

I haven't a problem with discussing Tiesto's remixes and his downfall/ uprise etc. or any other subject for that matter, I am against bashing and this thread started as a discussion and naturally turned into a bash thread...

IMO, Tiesto has sunk a lot lately, and honestly I was never a huge fan of his. So what? I'm just not listening to these tunes, end of story (Not that much of a big deal huh?)

Kosheen - Hungry
(not very good, although i didn't think it was that horrible. mediocre.)

Avalon - Can't Live a Day
(pretty good.)

Lost Witness - Did I Dream
(Good mix!!!)

Southern Sun (Normal and Unreleased)
(kick ass)

Saint Etienne - Action
(very good imo.)

Mauro Picotto - Pulsar
(mediocre)

In my oppinion, he hasn't done that bad.

Posted by DJ_Lord on Jul-26-2002 05:18:

Rasta

i also think his remix of we know what you did was awful but hey nobody is perfect!

Posted by BTG on Jul-26-2002 06:42:

why does eveyrone hate / dislike hungy, i like it. maybe because i havn't heard the origional yet, but i almost picked up the kosheen cd this week

Posted by Kia Kaha on Jul-26-2002 07:13:

Tiesto 'worst remixer of the year'

Thats a bit harsh I reckon ... It's not like the guy's done a DJ Aligator remix or anything

Posted by oDrori on Jul-26-2002 07:15:

Well, the overall feeling is that Tiesto has tried giving us something "Different" lately, and most of us think he has changed into boring.

Posted by Nadi on Jul-26-2002 07:20:

Tiesto hasnt been bad by a long shot this year, not as great as days of old, but still southern sun and lost witnes remixes were both good.

On another note I think you guys all need to get rid of the hes done so much over his career shit(at least in this thread, as it specifically refeers to this year.) He has released some shit this year, but you cant keep defending his current releases based on those of years past.
