Exclamation Serious Discussion

I have found the best toothpaste. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's everything I ever wanted in a toothpaste. I was using Tom's Natural one but I hated the fact that it didn't foam. This one...is just AWESOME!

Aquafresh Extreme Clean WHITENING ACTION. DO NOT get 'foaming action' - that one is yucky orange mint. This one is peppermint and a little bit of toothpaste makes you look like you have rabies.

FTW

This is after trying over 20 toothpaste's on the market!

Don't even get me started on ones with baking soda. YUCK-O!

i've been using whitening toothpaste for years now, and i have noticed absolutely no difference in teeth whiteness. sure, they're clean, but not as pure white as i'd like. oh well.

incidentally, i believe i've used this one before melly.

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Sep-18-2010 04:26:

noo way! I quit smoking and been using this for about 6 months now and my mother - who hasn't seen me in almost a year (10mos.) noticed my teeth. It was one of the first things she said.

I am not saying this is awesome cuz it is whitening. It has this micro foaming action... and it's awesome.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Sep-18-2010 04:27:

hey. i've been using that toothpaste for the past 3 years now. won't bother using anything else.
totally agree with you.

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Sep-18-2010 04:29:

yes! I seriously can't see myself changing. I was always buying a new brand of something but I never really liked anything.

Tom's was cool cuz it's all natural and tastes great - I believe it was spearmint. But I didn't feel like it was cleaning my teeth cuz it almost went on clear. lol. I need bubbles man!!!!!!!!!

yeah i agree it's a nice toothpaste for cleanliness. but yeah, no difference in whitening. of course i drink a lot of coffee but even before i started drinking coffee, i noticed no difference. :/

Posted by JD8180 on Sep-18-2010 04:31:

what is so special about this? the taste? or the fact that you feel it whitens?

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Sep-18-2010 04:31:

every now and then i'd act all sophisticated and buy rembrandt but i think it isn't worth the extra 5 bucks at all...probably more since i think there's less in the tube, too. but yeah the foaming and whitening action are great.

tho honestly - i don't know if i've experienced a whole lot of teeth whitening since using. i don't have the whitest teeth but they aren't that bad either, since i don't smoke. maybe whitening on a minor scale but that's cool that it's noticeable for you

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Sep-18-2010 04:32:

I was mostly buying toothpaste's for the whitening action and none delivered. I agree - they don't really do much but ever since I tried this one.. I could careless if my teeth get whiter (which they have!)

I did the mistake of buying 'foaming' action since the boxes look the fuking same and almost puked that month i had the toothpaste. I think I was only brushing my teeth to just finish the damn thing. Orange + Mint. Someone should get fired for that.

how it cleans!! lol. The whitening is added bonus!

Almost every toothpaste is the same. If you brush/floss your teeth at least twice a day, expect to keep them for 70+ years. If not, be prepared to shell out the 8+ grand for dentures. That's almost all there is to it.

i also recommend Colgate's "Peroxyl" for mouth cleanliness. it's basically mint flavored hydrogen peroxide. great stuff, and gives the foaming action as you mentioned too melly.

I drink massive amounts of coffee daily, so my teeth at times are pretty stained. I agree with you, I don't find the whitening pastes to do much, if at all. I did try those pre-rinsing/brushing mouthwashes and found that to work decently well. the plain otc crest white-strips are supposed to be really good too, but I feel too gay to use that.

yeah fuck those strips man.

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Sep-18-2010 04:35:

haha. I am a fan of foaming action. I've just never seen a toothpaste foam this much with so little.

I don't know if I can change now... But I will keep that brand in mind.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Sep-18-2010 04:35:

Wait, you're too gay for teeth whitening? Why even worry about it at this point?

nah it's not a toothpase, just a rinse/mouthwash.

I have done those crest strips before but I could never finish it. They make your teef super duper sensitive.

Super duper.

when I'm bored I tend to read the front page articles on yahoo, and they recently had one on toothpaste. they said foaming action has nothing to do with cleaning, that they just add detergents for the foaming effect because people tend to think they get a better clean with it.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Sep-18-2010 04:39:
