songs you first heard and didnt like but now you love
since i have a broadband connection i download music by the dozens. when i download music i skim through it real fast and if i dont like it i dont pay attention to it anymore, but as i was listening to some tracks i got few months ago that i havent carefully listened to, i couldnt believe i didnt notice how good some of these tracks were!....
The Squad - Licht and Schall
System F - solstice (extended mix)
jose amnesia - the eternal (pulser remix)
madelyne - beautiful child (hiver & hammer remix)
orbital - halycon & on & on
cequenza - sonic blue
well i felt good that i discovered these tracks hidden throughout my files and i slapped myself for not noticing them. next time im going to listen to each song carefully instead of just skimming through it because trance is like a movie... you cant just see parts of it, you have to see the whole thing from start to finish.... has anyone have songs they discovered later on?
hmm, when i first heard tiestos remix of southern sun i hated it, passed up buying the vinyl of it also, now i love it after hearing it more and more, almost kicking myself for passing it up
Same thing happened with me. saw Ferry Corsten - Punk and I thought "Na it isn't that good" but now I so wish I had bought it!
If I buy and album, I usually have to listen to it a few times to start liking it. After hearing it once I usually think the whole thing sounds the same. But after listening to it several times I usually realise its all quality
when i first heard Ligaya i thought it's crap but now i really like it
Heh, suprisingly I hate Flight 643 the first time I heard it and now its one of my fav songs of all time.
Everything But The Girl - Missing (todd terry remix)
i hated..
643
silence - tiesto mix
but there now proably both im my top 100
i dont remember such a turnaround recently - the last i remember was Agnelli&nelson - Hudson Street. at first i didnt like it but then it got played on the radio but wasnt announced yet and i thought "WOW!". then the dj said this was hudson street and i rushed to my comp to play it to myself one more time. this tune is one of my favs ever since.
have to say thou that the reverse thing happens more often with me. the first time i listen to a track i like it but on the second hearing im disappointed...
nmaybe not a good example but I'd say
marco V - Godd
I like it now,but I can't say I love it.

i hated marco v - godd, but now everytime when the vocals start and that "huge bass" comes in, its one of those euphoric moments.
That is definitely a song that grows on you, especially that every dj started playing it.
I used to not like progressive but now I do

when i first heard ligaya, i was drunk, so i didn't really get it.
but now that i head it sober, its awsome. and also, Gouryella - Gouryella, the first time i heard it, was on the video, and i kept playing the video cause it was funny, but after a while, i loved it
and also flight 643

i use to hate house in general, but then as you hear more and more you can learn to like it. i feel the same way with a lot of trance, but there is just too many to name hehe. i think that a lot of it has to do with maturity of taste. i'm sure that a lot of us started out just liking the uplifting euphoric songs, but over time have learned to like others as well. unfortunately, it works both ways. none come to mind, but sometimes i like a song a first and then end up hating it. oh well, thats just the way things work hehe.
hearing songs live usually bring them onto my A-list, this happened to
Signum - Second Wave
Matt Darey - Beautiful
Alphazone - Stay
Blank n Jones - Desire
didnt care for them much before i heard them spun live, now they r top on my list
*Fire & Ice - Never Ending Melody
*Fire & Ice - Silent Cry
*Alibi - Eternity
*Moon Projects - Moments Are Forever
*Pole Folder CP - Apollo Vibes (Young American PSC Mix)
*Three Drives - Greece 2000 .. i still dont like the original but love the MWNN Mix and Lost Tribe vs. Miro Mix....
*The Green Martian - Industry/Computer Weekend
too many tunes that i dislike at first but grow on me immensely

Kosheen - Catch [Ferry Corsten Remix]
When I first listened to it I was like 'wtf is this noise?' Of course, I deleted it. And then somehow I managed to get it again 2-3 weeks later
It stayed in my playlist, I gave him a last chance, fortunately, because it became one of my favourites
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Tiesto remix)
Funk Einstaz - Punk
Rapid Eye - Circa-Forever (Rapid Eye's R E Mix)
has grew on me, but still I think that the breakdown should be followed by something trully amazing, that melody is just too calm
