[Review] Ryan Tyas, Sean Tyas & M.I.K.E

i can honestly say this was one of the best trance night of the year.. had an accident earlier on with leaving the oven on and getting sick cause of the gas, so i had my coat on at 2:30 about to walk out and go home until sean just started dropping bombs after bombs. the last time i saw m.i.k.e was 1.5 years ago with kyau and albert i believe? but as much as it sounds cheesy, he proved once again why he's one of the legends...and ryans closing set wow, i missed some of it but that was one of the best closing sets i have heard in a longgggggg time. big probs to massive making this a $1 night before midnight. if this was a madeevent party, pretty sure shit would have cost all of us at least 40 bucks. will edit ids later on.

What a night..... I can honestly say I should have never stopped going to trance shows. Seen a bunch of TAs there. I left right after Sean dropped Sanctuary the second time, was pretty tired and have a long trip back up to school today. Anyone know why he played it twice?? I thought I was hearing things (or it may have been the loko). Highlight of the night was when Sean dropped his remix of Suburban Train. Wow, the energy in the place was nuts.

I did have some problems at the door, they didn't have me on the Massive Event guest list, or my any of my friends. Got that straightened out after 20 minutes of arguing with the lady at the door, but I guess it was not her fault.

I was really looking forward to checking this out but was pretty exhausted from work this week. It's sad but I haven't been to a Massive Event yet and I'm sure im missing out on a lot of good trance.

I'm really curious about Eminem feat Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (Sean Tyas Remix). Any recording of this?

Looking forward to a next Massive night!

is it just me or did it seem like a mashup with 'lift'?

Had some problems @ the door. Got in at 11:30 they said the 1$ entry was before 11! I talked to the girl at the door and so she said Datt & I would be the very last 2! \o/. Yay for sweet talking a bitch *brushes shoulders off*

Got in and waited in the 80's new wave room. What debauchery!!!!!! I walked in and he was playing The Knife - Heartbeats (one of my faaaaaaaaaavs!! Posted a million times on FB!) Later on, some gay dude dancer was on stage working it. Then he takes off his clothes (rarr) and hes only in a tiny thong when WAM! that goes off too. I saw his little hairy wee wee flapping around - wahooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Meh - I didn't like MIKE's set too much. I left a little bit after chocolate infusion - one of my favs of the year. I wish he would have played Sunrise @ Palomos GE remix. God damn that tune is a monsterrrrrrrrrrrr! Still!! I'll be 105 and jamming to that song. The breakbeat in that song is sick.

Ryan did a good job opening as well. The crowd really loved it.

Sad I missed Lost Vagueness - one of my fav tunes and it's on my sig

M.I.K.E. also played:
Marc Simz - Forbidden City
Susana feat. Josh Gabriel - Frozen
Sander van Doorn - Daisy

Sean Tyas also played:
Heatbeat - Trash

Dave Correa came on and dropped a few beats too...he played Sean's rework/remix of AC/DC - Thunderstruck

Posted by acb43 on Nov-28-2010 19:50:

It was Marcel Woods - Advanced (Colin James & Alan Ruddick Remix)

He played Dark Matter - Absolut (BK remix) too FUCK YES

Ryan also played Jochen Miller - Upad right before beltek.

heatbeat - trash + beltek - par ... good night

music wise every dj played a pretty solid set...but ryans closeing set was just great
NUFF SAID

also great hearing m.i.k.e. play some new mix of age of love and sean playing some oliver lieb!!!!! ha ha

the managment at webster just keeps gettin worse and worse, between them always opening the room late cause of those rock shows before hand, not honoring the $1 till midnight, problems with vip, rude staff etc etc

so yea music was good all around, everything else was a headache...good seeing those who i saw

Wow whata great night. I got the shakes. Big congrats to Wayde on Sean playing 'Derailed'!! Must have been an epic moment for you bro! Anyone get a video of that?

Great sets all around, I especially liked Ryan's energy during the opening.

Burak I think track 5 was a Paul Webster tune not too sure though.

Great seeing everybody tho. And yehhhh, props to Wayde. I stayed just in time to catch him playing it.

I was at Webster Hall the night before to see Nero. Wow, I'm gonna chill on the dubstep events for a bit. The atmosphere on Saturday was wayyyyy better.

Big thanks to everyone that came out and stuck around for my closing set!!!

I had as good a time as one person could have at a party, everyone was so nice coming up to my parents who were there (they stayed til 330am!!!) and saying hello. First time meeting M.I.K.E., such a nice and classy guy! He was using that sick touch screen Serato controller which was pretty neat.

Sean killed it, he was not feeling 100% as he's been around his sick wife and daughter for the last couple of days, so that might of had something to do with him playing Sanctuary twice. Otherwise his set was flawless, energy throughout the entire set. He really was exhausted towards later in the night and was great enough to let me close. Always fun to have the opportunity to bang out some classics at the end!!!

Til next time...

Sean was great (barring playing the same song twice...LOL) and Ryan did an equally great job closing...Way out West - Mindcircus always puts a smile on my face!!

It was nice to crew again bc i dont frequent the city as much as I used to...good chillin w RobDawg too!!

lol yea that was dave correa but i only think he played one track... on the other hand i had such a great night... the ONE minus id say is that my ears were ringing at the end i just think that websters sound system needs to do something with their speakers. I just dont think ur ears r supposed to be hurting that bad at the end of the night.

Posted by KTyas on Nov-30-2010 06:42:

and congrats to dave and wayde that track is some good stuff... and i wish i could go see sean this weekend with w&w and joc @ guv... ughhh this sucksss
