Is this a known font - can anyone help identify?

Basically an image from a car used in a film, obviously similar to the Blues Brothers car maybe a little larger, but cannot see if this font is the same or not.

Does a font exist for the words To Serve And Protect?

cheers all.

looks like a mixture of, Din mittelschrift, and eurostile. but ultimately, i think it was just painted on

Posted by Silky Johnson on Dec-14-2010 14:51:

It looks similar to the Red Dead Redemption font.

I am going to go with Eurostile too, but some of the letters look condensed. The variations might come from Cauty hand painting it.

It isn't that font. Compare the C in PROTECT.

And that isn't just a car from some film, that's the Ford Timelord.

The one I posted the link to is a lot closer.

It's pretty old-school. Kind of funny, now, how he seems to be taking so much pride in it.

Well, he is about to rock you.

profound absurdity

looks like custom lettering, almost as if it were made of masking tape

That's the single I was trying to place where I saw that car, the first time.

Nice!

The picture is actually taken from the cover of Doctorin the Tardis.

I didn't really think anyone on this board would know what it was, but since you do, and since I'm a total KLF nut (see my avatar) then if you're interested you could read my blog on the project I'm currently working on:

http://projectfordtimelord.blogspot.com/

COR version: I've just imported a 1968 Ford Galaxie from the USA to the UK, and I'm going to recreate Ford Timelord and drive it to Spain where the White Room Film was shot.

My blessing. My curse.

Although to be fair Pie, calling you a girl is stretching it a bit init?

Posted by Silky Johnson on Dec-14-2010 23:07:

I certainly wouldn't consider myself to be like most girls. So thanks for the compliment.
