Working Out
How many of y'all TA's workout on a regular basis?
If so what kinda workouts do you do?
Play any sports?(For high school TAs, and possibly college TAs)
Leisure sports?
I just spend 60 mins doing the challenging "Melbourne Shuffle" to TECHNO!!!

I burnt more calories doing the shuffle in a min than swimming a 50m lap.
This Melbourne shuffle is hard!!!
Right now I'm working out 3 days a week (mon, wed, fri) and running on tuesday and thursday. I usually do this for the summer months when it is warm enough to be outside. During winter months I work out my legs on the other 2 days.
In terms of sports I play on a soccer team right now for the summer. Throughout the year I play football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and soccer. I love sports! I'm one of the most competetive people that I know. So yea...I'm really active.

tried every possible sport, used to do ballet for 3 years, then professional dancing for 5 years... street fighting, bushido, boxing (well, my dad is a professional boxer), swimming, played in a basketball team 4 my school, athletics- jumping and running long distances actually took 3 place in Israel, right now have no time for this, school, work, and bf (well its a sport 2,lol, )

I'm working out 4 times a week, and jog between workouts...
i worked out for a couple weeks this summer then i stopped.....when i go back to school i have practice every day for track...im a thrower ; shotput, discus, and hammer. SO much fun i cant wait to start throwing again i miss it alot

gym addict here. (3 times/week)
trying to eat better tho and sleep to...and not drink 
hum ...the summer is like minus 50 lbs to every exercise for me (ok not 50...)
winter : hockey, inside soccer, some tennis here and there.
by the way to increase u re gaining in gym terms, debutants or benching 300 lbs freaks, its for all of ya, good tips and all...;

i started excersizing this summer.
push ups, sit ups, weights, and swimming for cardio.
doesn't take that much time, it's fun, plus good results. yey!
when young i used to kung fu (for like 2 1/2 years)
Then I used to work out pretty regularly..
But now (thanks to college) I dont have time

i go 2 the ymca about 4 or 5 times a week and stay and work out 4 about 2 hours a day

Yeah I play sports too. Alot of basketball, because it's THE sport you can pick up with a group of friends at any time.
During football season, we play pick up contact football...lotsa fun! I knocked this guy out cold for about a minute on a blitz...hehehe.
Like many of you, I too live at the gym. It's the only way I'll feel good about my self in times like this(in my life...)
I play pickup games of basketball ocassionaly.
Working out usually 4-5 days a week.
One Day I'll work Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, the other I'll work Biceps and Lats. No matter which day it is, I'll do Abs and Running.
Of course, when you smoke the chronic and eat shitty food (Like myself), all that working out takes a much slower effect on your body.
i play pickup ball too, but not as often as i would've liked this summer, too much slacking with friends and blazing... now i work out every couple of days... 3 upper body, 3 ab, and 3 leg plus jogging and basketball... i'd work out more often nowadays but i'm too sore, i make sure my workouts count... i shouda been doing this is june tho... maybe then i'd have faster recovery times...
high school track career endend this past year cause well...i graduated. still jog in the mornings though.
i mountain bike alot too. so when the new year rolls around im gonna join the EFTA (Eastern Fat Tire Association) because they host races in new england from like May to September. i dont suppose anyone else here is into that?
I lift weights for 90 minutes 3 times a week. Also, every other day I do crunches/push-ups. However, when school starts again I'll only be able to lift weights once a week.
I just use free weights and a bench, nothing fancy. I love it!! I just love seeing results (yes guess I am a bit of a narcicist).

I work out once in a while... like at least once a week if i can. I also have soccer practises every Saturdays and a game every Sunday. Unfortunately I haven't been out for a few weeks now b/c of work on Sats and during the days I'm off, I'm usually out partying

it's good enough for me, cause I don't go to a gym.

swimming, get a tan while working out, pretty cool huh. Then on fridays I head to the pub to lift some 40oz er's, get buzzed while working my bicepts, pretty cool huh.
I work out 3-4 days per week, and also do a lot of cycling (long distance cross country/offroad cycling). Most of my gym workout is weights, with a bit of cardio, cause i get most of that with the cycling (although I havent gone cycling in a while cause ive been lazy this month).
I was at the gym today, and my FUCKING LOCKER WAS BROKEN INTO. they only took my wallet, which would normally be ok, cause i carry little cash, and Visas are secure. But... before working out, my friend and his wife put their wedding bands in my WALLET. FACK argh

Sat - Cardio
Sun - Sit on my butt and eat Oreo's and watch standup comedy on Comedy Central
Just watch what you eat (No burgers at McD.). Eat 5 small meals instead of 2 huge ones. Drink lots of water. Get quality sleep, not quantity sleep.
I am 6 foot and 145lb, I'm skinny (beats being fat).
I used to play highschool ball, as well as go to the gym. However that was 2 years ago, I'm just starting up again after my recent string of injurys(partially broken acl playing basketball, broken wrist biking, almost torn hamstring from messing up while working out) But finally im better, so Ill see what I can do, and take it one step at a time.
