Roll call: Hernan @ Circus Feb 19
To be quite frank. After his performance @ Black and Blue, I have never ever anticipated a dj like this. He's truly a gifted artist. Everything that I listen from his past few sets, I'm loving....
I'm so there
I'll be the guy with an Argentina jersey in the first row.

so there too !
I don't go out quite often but might make it for this one since I have so many friends going out for this...
However, I have seen Hernan 2 or 3 times before and he failed to fully deliver. He needs to play something else than prog in his sets, mix it up a little. His sound is too polished and lacks a bit of driving stuff. He also needs to stay away from tracks with long breaks that kill the flow of the set.
Invidually, the tracks he plays are very nice. But when I'm out in a club, I want to dance, not only tap my feet.
So, I might give him another chance...
Me +5. Expectations are high, so hopefully Hernan will deliver the quality set we are all waiting for
Wouldn't miss this for the world. It'll be a nice change from all the techy stuff I've been checking out the past few times I do afterhours.
Do any of you have some top sets that you like at a lot? If so, please post
Hernan Cattaneo - Lives & Mixes by Electro-Mix-Memory
a lot of them are the same though
Latest Gallery Podcast is pretty sweet. That Lovely Serenade track always puts smile on my face. It would be nice to see Eelke Kleijn sometimes this year in Mtl or TO
Labyrinth 09 is blowing the fuck out of my mind!

Are most set the same because they are copies or because he usually plays similar mixes? I loved him at Black and Blue and I also like the mixes I've downloaded but I am a bit concerned his set might get repetative now that I've seen him once. Anyone can comment on this?
I usually like faster music but I loved him at Black & Blue; I just don't want to be dissapointed. Also, any more info on how long he will be playing?

Not to mention I'm sure his CD wallet is looking quite different now then it did at Black and Blue.
Im in for this one, im very excited to hear some hernan prog house
Sorry to say this guys, but his sets really tend to sound the same.
As I have mentioned before, I have seen him live a few times and his sets were very similar. The same goes for his mixes that are available online.
Of course, he does not play the same tracks but he pushes the same deep proggy sound. That's why I stated that he should mix things up by playing tracks that are out of this genre.
I would really like to hear him get out of his 'comfort zone' because he is a talented dj that knows how to build a nice atmosphere. He is really good at programming a set.
