You'll probably get tons of 4x4 suggestions, so here are some that are not:

The Black Dog - Spanners
First serious BD album with unique British touch on Detroit techno.

John Beltran - Ten Days Of Blue
Awfully expensive these days, but worth having because there's no better summery techno album out there.

Monolake - Cinemascope
One of the kind piece of work carried out with acute precision and attention to details.

Plastikman - Musik
Exploration of minimalistic and acidic post-techno grooves.

Speedy J - G Spot
Another atmospheric and highly personal take on futuristic Detroit vibes.

Not all pure techno but still the side of techno that appeals to me the most.

Not really. And I wouldn't call it a techno album as such, either.

Can't add too much to the thread, since most of my favourites are obvious and have already been mentioned, but I will throw out:

Supposedly an IDM act, but this for me is definitely Detroit-influenced techno, and a lovely little album too.

All their stuff is Detroit-influenced techno. Hugely influental on IDM, but never really IDM in the vein of some other well-known acts from Warp. Kinda like The Black Dog.

Their "B12 Records Archive" set is a must have for everyone who's interested in how techno sounded when it first crossed the Atlantic.
