2011 NHL playoffs? 2011 NHL playoffs

Surprised Jason didn't start this thread

Will Vancouver win it all? Maybe.

Ice ice baby.

I'm not drunk yet.

I'll reserve my predictions until after the playoffs are over.

I like their chances. Bombay put together a great squad this year.

didn't go too well for the ducks last night

God damn Pekka Rinne.

Nashville doesn't suck, no one knows this yet because no one follows them. I think that they win this series in 6.

Posted by srussell0018 on Apr-14-2011 18:08:

Yeah, Price is your only hope at this point.

Posted by Cloudburst on Apr-14-2011 18:08:

Yeah they are a tight team, with a great defense and a hell of a coach.

Posted by Zyklon_Jay on Apr-14-2011 18:13:

that and our special teams are better.

if the bruins stay out of the box they win. if they don't they lose.

if carey turns out the lights it is anyone's game, we can't forget that the guy down the ice is no slouch either. The Habs have always been Thomas' achilles heel, so he has a lot to prove.

Boston should win this series, but after last year I don't discount this team.

Either way, the level of insanity this city goes through during the playoffs is great. Add all of the bad blood, the Chara return to Montreal, and what is essentially the best rivalry in hockey and you have everything pointing to it being a marquee series.

I think Buffalo can take Philly if Pronger is out. That tough son of a bitch is the heart of the team. No him, no cup.

Win no Malkin or Crosby, Marc-Andr Fleury will have to be huge these playoffs.

As he was last night.

As long as they have Letang quarterbacking the powerplay they should beat Tampa. Did you see Stamkos get walloped last night? Welcome to playoff hockey.

Yes, Brooks Orpik.

That was awesome

I think people give Pronger too much credit. Yeah, he's tough, but he's also old and slow. Obviously it hurts to have someone so experienced out of your lineup, but I don't really buy into the whole "if he plays, they win, if he doesn't, the Sabres have a chance" notion. I think they can beat Philly either way. They've been playing great down the stretch, and goalies are the most valuable asset in the playoffs, and the Sabres have the unquestionable advantage there.

people aren't giving Pronger too much credit. Go look at the Flyer's record when he isn't in the lineup. The numbers say it all.

Saying that the Sabres have an unquestionable advantage is getting written off as homerism sorry. I like the Sabres chances, but the only people that would consider them favourites are either Sabres fans or soccer picking octopi.

No, I realize Philadelphia has a better overall team, and are the clear favorites. I was saying that the Sabres have an unquestionable advantage at goaltender.

Also, the soccer picking octopi was 100% during the world cup
