I've anxiously been awaiting deets about the July 1st boat parties ! Hoping for non-cheesy a-list dj(s)! For me the bar is set high for my personal fav July 1st boat parties: Fanciulli/Fair in '08 and Chus & Ceballos in '09. Hope both organisers list the talent around the same time to make the decision pronto.
PLEASE do not use the same boat you guys used last year for Calderone....that bash would have been 100 X better on the Gambler
Yeah the last two times I have been on the Matthew Flinders the party has kinda sucked. I chose to go on this boat party the last 2 years in a row and I ended up regretting it both times, it's too bad because it's one of the nicer boats in Toronto and I have had some fun times on that boat in the past.
Canada Day 2010 with the sound issues / late departure / etc ... And on Canada Day 2009 with perfect weather and no sound on the outer / upper decks which I think I remember being blamed on the boat but I don't remember for sure. Either way it sucked, especially knowing the other boat was having fun outside while we couldnt 
green velvet again?
Josh Wink is at Maison that night ... It would be fun to see him pop up on a boat somewhere but I guess that is unlikely.
Empress of Canada is a sweet boat with no issues and has a nice open deck. It's all about the sun & proper sound/beats isn't it? Wink on that boat would be ace!

The flinders
from my understanding the problems with the Fliners in the past, have been addressed, not only that, but as of this past wednesday, the liqour laws changed. you can now have music at the dock, as well as drinks when you board the boat.
no more waiting till we get out on the water!
this one's gonna be HEAVY
wow, almost $75 with the service fee. Thats really disappointing as I was hoping to pay no more than $50 max 
I've never been on the matthew flinders. I checked out its website and still can't fully see its layout.
Will the dj's be spinning outside (under some type of cover) and / or will there be ample speakers and room to dance on the deck under the sun?
is there gonna be hard tickets or just online?
Although the price is kind of steep, I know it will be 100% worth while! Some of the $$ should be used for a live percussion band, even a few dudes on some bongo drums would be amazing!!!
