Really weird injury/pain

I probably won't get a single serious or helpful reply to this, but whatever.

I've had this insanely weird pain in my left foot for a couple of months now. At first, I thought it was something to do with running, but it doesn't hurt at any time related to that. It appears instantly after getting out of bed. Of course, this means that it hurts in the morning. I could understand if it was some kind of really bad stiffness or pooling of fluids in the night, but just now I laid in bed for less than three minutes prior to sleep, realised I had to piss and got up only to feel this shooting pain overtake my whole foot.

It feels both muscular and bone-related. It goes away after about five to ten minutes of walking around. It's only ever in the left foot. Anyone got any ideas? It's seriously fucking strange - it doesn't hurt after any amount of sitting, exercise or anything else.

The pain doesn't determine what foot is right. It just determines what the left is. Or something.

Your feet and shins experience micro fractures constantly from regular use. I wonder if this is a bigger one that is causing you pain??

I'm guessing an x-ray is your best course of action if this is persistent...

I had a stress fracture in the same foot once, and the symptoms for that we completely different to this, but thanks.

cellulitis is a possibility if you have any open sores from rubbing of heels against shoes and not wearing socks. A very painful infection I had once. if anything wait for the pain to go away. If your foot starts turning purple go to the doctor.

just so you know those pictures of cellulitis on wikipedia are far from helpful if it is indeed cellulitis. but from the way you described the pain i am sure its not cellulitis. You wouldn't even be able to walk let alone be in any physical position where blood flow is going towards your feet. Serious pain that lasts alll day and just gets worse until antibiotics are taken is what you can axpect with cellulitis. Trust me I know.

So if you don't where socks be warned.
