Altitude.003 (Apologies to Fraggle:)

After two storming events which both reached capacity well before midnight, the Altitude crew is back with two events for the month of September Altitude.003 and Altitude.CD

Altitude.003 will be the regular monthly installment of Altitude. Being held again at The Dendy (apologies for small size) on Friday 13th September.

The Altitude Room will see the return performance of three of Altitudes best - Ton-e, and BUD from Altitude.001 and Simon Sez, fresh from his storming closing set at Altitude.002. Altitude newcomers Adrian Wells and Stama, two of the best newcomers to the Sydney trance scene, will join them.

Lish, Dave Choe and Gadget will again bust the Mercury Lounge apart at the seams with another Altitude newcomer, Paulie, sure to get the crowd moving and screaming to his infectious beats.

We are also very pleased to announce that Altitude will be appearing at Macquarie Unis Conception Day, a 7000 person, day long party held on the Campus Lawns and UniBar each year. Altitude.CD will occur in the Club Lounge between the hours of 12pm and 7pm providing both the best djs as well as another brilliant live performance from Liquid M . Not only will Altitude.CD see performances by resident Altitude DJs from The Altitude Room and The Mercury Lounge but also performances by some of Macquarie Unis best.

If you love your beats in the sun, then Altitude.CD is a must. It all happens on Friday September 20 and the lineup for the afternoon is as follows:

1200 - 1245 Nick Jackson
1245 - 1330 Ekaj Kuan
1330 - 1430 Kerrin Hughes
1430 - 1530 Roy
1530 - 1630 Dave Choe
1630 - 1700 Liquid M [Live]
1700 - 1800 Lish
1800 - 1900 Diggs & Morro

Altitude.003 will cost you only $10, whilst Altitude.CD is free (I am led to believe, do not quote me though...it is a uni run event!)

The previous two altitudes have reached capacity before midnight, so i cannot stress enough that if you are wanting to come along, that you get there early! Both events should prove to be an absolute feast for all us trance lovers and I hope to see all you tranceaddicts there!

Visit the website for all the details

cheers all

its in epping/ marsfield

Just take the freeway out of the city to the north (over the harbour bridge) which turns into epping road and stick with it the whole way to marsfield, then its on the right hand corner.....cant miss it , i would say its about 20 kms from the city (just a guess)

public transport wise i cant help you cos i drive out there

Posted by webmeister on Sep-03-2002 09:35:

ahh Macquarie Uni my old stamping ground

shame I won't be able to make it cos I have to work .. first time since 1998 I've missed Conception Day

have a great time there y'all .. cyas on the 13th

and Nick, I wouldn't try getting to MU from the city on public transport, it takes forever...

Just a few words on Altitude here
Firstly to Morro (and Diggs Im assuming) congratulations on the great sucess of the first 2 Altitudes! Both packed out before midnight. That's awsome. I think Sydney really appreciates and loves this new unseen melodic uplifting trance. Well done
Secondly good luck with the third installment, still only $10. That's fuckin unbelievable! Good to see you keeping the price down!
Thirdly to everyone who is going have a great time once again. I'm sure it willbe totally rockin!
And lastly morro you reckon you could make a few exceptions for the young Aussie TAs here and get us in? I'm yet to hear Melodic Uplifting trance in a club and please don't make me have to wait and try and get into Ferry!
Goodluck
Cheers

if you could Morro that would be brilliant! harharhehe...

JoeCool, if you're going to take public transport from the City to Macquarie Uni, be prepared for a looooong journey!

just a quick question

what are the chances of gettting on the bill for an altitude gig?
do i send a cd to someone or something?

Posted by morro on Sep-03-2002 15:14:

Trancey Ash - I'd love to open the doors up to all the under18s to enjoy the night. Unfortunately being a licensed venues under18s are not allowed and to try and sneak one in would land us in mega shit! Besides it is impossible to sneak anyone in past the security...they check everyone's id - have even checked mine and i put on the damn party

Waxology - check the website for details about playing at Altitude. On the main page there is a dj register link. There are instructions there.

Cheers
