This is a one hour or so mix I did up .. any feedback what so ever would be appreciated?

I've heard your mixing and your production skills are atrocious. I do think you are being hypocritical. You start quite a few threads, sometimes multiple for one track, so your reaction is unfair.

If you whore yourself out enough it's not exactly hard to become a resident at your local club for terrible music. People here don't respect you because you try way too hard with your terrible productions and terrible taste in music.

since i've seen your tracklists some times and i don't want to listen to Guetta i thought this could be of my taste, some trance... well ok.

I thought it would be worse but there are evident flaws.

You choose a 132bpm track to start, not a bad starting point for a trance set, but then your second track is a 140bpm uplifting track, wow an 8bpm gap you cover in 5 minutes, this speed changes is something that may work well on the floor after some tracks to build it up definitely but not now.

Second thing that i've noticed is that your phrasing is wrong all over the place, there are whole sections where the transition sounds odd because of this.

The biggest fail for a club set is what i found here that is related to phrasing, you don't buil tension effectively, you let the tracks play for almost their whole duration , sometimes you can overhear an outro that shouldn't be playing, other times you have 40 seconds of just beats.

Your programming ability for someone that has had a 5 years residence should be better, apart from the high bpm gap covered suddenly you can't play a pretty energetic track and then come with Roger Shah - Paradise that is chilling. Sudden up&downs is not what you want in a club. 30 minutes of unleashed energy and a track in between to chill and have a drink---> OK.

About key matching the mix sounds tight on this, mainly because you don't go to the action on your transitions (i liked 1st transition i think djs should play like this in clubs when they spin trance, the other ones were rather mediocre for the reasons i've told you but i won't be hard on you with this as many uplifting djs act like you)

On topic, it sounds tight but be sure that you make your changes from minor to major in a club because 1) If you don't build tension. 2) You go for something danceable, cheerful, motivating... to something deep, less energetic... chances of people exiting the dancefloor are high.

Beatmatching and equalization are alright you can tell everyone to gtfo on this as i'vent found any problems, second part of the mix as it flows is technically better.

But to be honest, i'd have gone from the club 15 minutes into your set and for what i've heard of usa scene regarding to uplifitng trance i think you were playing for the security guys and maybe 2 drunktards.

So, for me you are just another dj like 99% of people here including me, not a pro.

(And this threads will have loads of win, i foresee)

don't get me wrong i can tell you that the set might be good to listen at home but you present it like a live mix and that's far from being what i'd love of a trance live set. I enjoyed some of the tunes you put, Heart 2 Heart (Tyas Mix) is a track i used to like a lot, now i listened to it without many passion but it's because i am tired of that sound already.

Yeah, I live in Atlanta and have been following the scene since about 2007, and I have literally NEVER seen your name on a flyer, or linked to any sort of event.

I certainly have not heard of you playing at Sound Table.
