So.... How good is Armin?

Seeing as tho Armin Van Burren is just playing down the road from me and Johan doesn't look like he's going to be on the following week... How good is Armin, and what is a good recent live-set of his I should look out for in order to sample his goodness?

Cheers!

AVB is absolutely awesome to hear live!!

Try looking for lovefields_2002_(landgraaf_holland)-armin_van_buuren_live_11-08-2002

or

armin_van_buuren_-_live_at_idt_radio_(a_state_of_trance)_03-08-2002 is an older but very memorable liveset!!

Also dude there is a rumour on the Brissy grapevine that Armin Van Buuren is in doubt for a Brisbane performance. pray that its not true...

Thanks for those liveset recommendation, I'll have a listen to them

Was Armin ever coming to Brisbane? As far as I'm aware, he's not. Probably something to do with the fact that everybody in Brisbane likes hard house/techno and not the purer style of trance. Oh well, they're yet to be enlightened to the wonder of trance

Armin's dates are...
05-10-2002 Park, Melbourne, Australia
06-10-2002 Gas night, Sydney, Australia
11-10-2002 Metropolis, Perth, Australia
12-10-2002 Zone Chapel, Melbourne, Australia

Yeah the GK set is pretty damn good, and remember....that's what he's coming over to do....so it should be as good as that if not better...

Posted by Efff_Beee on Sep-11-2002 03:00:

I was sure I heard Armin was comming to the Gold Coast?

Posted by Efff_Beee on Sep-11-2002 03:17:

Posted by Efff_Beee on Sep-11-2002 03:19:

you know FB, there is an edit/delete button to simply 'edit' your posts (in the name of anti post whoring), and in the name of those poor afghani's who lost their lives a year ago today ..........one post is better than three

Armin is good, how good? VERY GOOD. atm he is propbably one of the best best remixes/produces and with a rtist album coming out he will have even more notches on his belt. His live sets have been good and his state of trance shows are exellent. Armin deserves his kudos.

Don't worry. Post whoring seems to be the flavour of the month

Godskitchen was scheduled to come up to The Arena with AVB and Flemming doing 1.5 hour sets each but the ticket prices were going to be way to high so the promoters scrapped it. Then they were planning a night called Republica with AVB playing a 3hour set. But now this is in doubt.

Any idea about the proposed date? Cause I'll be coming back to Bris during the Uni holz and Armin ain't coming to Adelaide.

big "werd up" to the guys who said armin is better than tiesto at the moment ... armin = all class

Posted by DJ Dowlz on Sep-11-2002 14:15:

Armin > Tiesto I totally agree with!
But here a difficult one, Armin vs Corsten?
My vote's for Ferry but it's definitely difficult one to call.

Well the proposed date was October 12 i thought. But just checked AVB's website and it looks like Melbourne has gotten the second show at Brisbane's loss as he is scheduled for Melbourne again on the 12th!

F*ck me Brisbane has had some harsh cancellations this year.

Jon 00 Fleming will be playing on his lonesome under the Gods Kitchen banner at Fever on the Gold Coast apparently. But give it a couple weeks and i'm sure that will be cancelled as well.

Armin at ZOS? That's an interesting 1!!! Should make for an interesting night... Hope I can make it to that as well.
