Paul van Dyk maybe remixing new Sylver tune

Yesterday on "the dj's" on tmf there was in interview with dj Wout (from Sylver) and asked him about future releases.
He said there is gonna be a new Album that comes together with a new single.
He contacted PVD to remix the new track.

paul has enough money, even if he dosen't mix this wank0r tune
lol, i dont think paul cares about the money, he mixes/produces music because he loves it, not for money...

Posted by Twig on Sep-14-2002 13:31:

if PvD was in it for the money then surely most of his unreleased stuff would be.. erm.....

released

of course he doesnt need the money... but he doesnt 'want' it either & i dont need to ask 'f0x' to know this.

anyone say new Sylver tune? omg.... long live for the cheesy...

Posted by starglider on Sep-14-2002 14:18:

Well, it's not like PvD has shied away from commercial remixes in the past (U2 anyone? Rammstein? Alanis Morrisette maybe?). And there have been some Sylver tunes transformed into rather amicable trancers by the appropriate remixers. I'm confident he could do something interesting with a Sylver track if he felt up to it. Whether he actually will though, that is another story.

how are they commercial?? Rammstein are not commercial! & it was a Europe Only release, Alanis Morisette remix is unreleased.... how can something be commercial $$ when nobody can buy it?!?

don't forget oliver lieb once remixed a song of sylver, and that mix was far from cheesy. it's not because the original is cheese, the remix will be too...

true
BTW Liquid feat Silvy - turn the tide is maybe cheese but this song OWNED back then, it was THE track!
So I dont care if people say its cheese, it was awsome, just like
Zippora - lotus eater (extended mix) was.
Anyone who went clubbing here and says these songs are crap really missed something I think...

you're right.

turn the tide "became" cheese, though. it was quite a clubhit first, then they made it a single and all of a sudden everybody thought it was cheese.

same thing is happening with the theme by jurgen vries at the moment. when it just came out, a lot of people around here were in love with that track, but since the single is out in the uk, i see a lot of people dissing it...

Both will be present on Vorsprung Dyk Teknik II, methinks.

But who really cares where a track originates... so what if it wasn't a trance single to begin with... Paul saw a track he wanted to work with, so he went ahead and remixed it.

Doesn't mean he's wanting to sell out to commercialism.
