Canada Sucks Bad

AFTER HEARING THE NEWS THIS MORNING THAT THE GST COULD GO UP ANOTHER 3 CENTS, I ALMOST LOST MY MIND. AS IT IS THIS COUNTRY IS RAPING ME EVRYDAY, NOW THEY WANT MORE. ITS TIME THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY STOOD UP, AND DIDNT TAKE THIS COMMUNISM ANYMORE. IF YOUR GOING TO DEFEND CANADA BY COMING BACK WITH THE MEDICARE AND SUBSIDIZED SCHOLLING ARGUMENT DONT WASTE MY TIME, I HAVE A MILLION POINTS TO DEBUNK IT. PLEASE U.S.A COME AND TAKE OVER.

but PLEASE, PLEASE don't say you want the US to take over..

that would be a million times worse, trust me.

i'd gladly play 50cents on the dollar in tax for canada to remain seperate from the US

for a moment, i thought you were serious. i heard that the GST would go up, and that does suck.. but.. really.. we do have a defecit. i'd pay an extra few cents on a bottle of coke if it helped get the country's debt down, or maybe it was put into the education system, or helped Alberta's struggling farmers. i'd be more worried about the soon-to-be outrageous gas and cigarette prices that will be ariving in canada.

Canada is SOCIALIST, or at least a social democracy of sorts. thats a LOT different from communism and having to pay a higher tax rate in turn gets you goods and services provided by the government that we pay out the ASS for over here. so what if the dollar is stronger, we pay more for shit...late|

Don't be jealous, America Jr. You may not shop in the U.S. but everything you buy is probably American. Thanks for the money! And the weed! At least you all are good for something.

yyyeah, no problem. i actually try and stick to my guns when it revolves around the u.s.a.. i tend to boycott most american chains (clothing, food etc.) there is obviously no way around completely avoiding outside american influence, only because they've wormed their way in through our borders and push all that 'great' shit in my face.

Im just glad I live in Alberta so I dont have to pay PST on top of GST, sometimes living here is pretty great. The oil industry is always booming here in calgary and out local economy is doing pretty good, but as far as canada is concerned we dont exist cuz we are west of ontario.

You people react TOO QUICKLY.......the story was that a MONTREAL newspaper heard that the liberals WERE CONSIDERING IT!....not going to make it law, not going to do it. Just discussion..not law......remember the hell that broke loose when they put the Goods and Service Tax to 7%. Calm down, no america is needed in canada...(i'm dual citzen) and canada is fine as is. Move to alberta...there is no pst.....so then it would only 10% (even if they brought it in)

if GST is what i think it is you should all quit bitching in denmark we pay 25% to taxes on anything we buy.

yeah, it is that bad. america is trying to take us over, as well as the whole world, under organizations with names like the WTO, the United Nations, NATO, etc.

ok, heres the facts:

reports by La Presse state that Ottawa was considering raising the GST to 10 per cent to help fund health care. The Finance Ministry and the prime minister denied the report.

now, this would increase our tax on stuff to 18%.

if you ask me that is just stupid, dont they get enough money when they take 50% of your paycheck for income tax?

They should really be more focused on how tax money is spent. They waste so much its unbelievable.

well im not gonna bash you, cause UNlike many others i recognize the ideals of the individual here...BUT!

i dunno if this is really a responsible statement on your part. maybe everything is becoming *americanized(i.e.USAized)* but that doesnt intend WORLD DOMINATION. someone made the simple, eloquent point earlier that IF we wanted to rule the world we coulda annexed most of Europe after WW2, which is absurd, but not impossible.

ill let your America bashing continue unrelented tho, cause i could bash on certain topics too, but REMEMBER--- of all the nations in the world, Canada is the most like the US outta ALL of em. Socialism and a small military dont change the fact that a lot of our values are increasingly similar.
