Saturday May 25th is the day you need to mark in your agenda. That night, you�ll be able to enjoy three hours of Armin madness, as he brings you the prestigious Essential Mix on BBC�s Radio 1!

The show is one of the highlights in the career of any DJ, �cause only the biggest DJ�s are given the honour to create the 3 hour mix and have it be part of the BBC�s Radio 1 show. It�s not the first time that Armin�s having an Essential Mix though. His first one, in 2003, was followed by Essential Mixes in 2004, 2006 and 2009. Four years since Armin�s last one, he�s more than ready to celebrate the release of �Intense� with another one!

Yeah he said during the intro the second hour was "all about his new artist album" so self promotion at the core sadly. Hopefully the last hour will be a lot of exclusive banging material though.

So Armin now even admits himself he is basically now 3 different djs.

1. Prog/Ambient Armin. Music he likes to listen to himself at home

2. EDM Armin. The commercial stuff to make him and keep him big with the masses and his album is exactly that.

3. Whos Afraid of 138 Armin. The bombastic, core of Armin as the dj the "true" Armin if you will. But can be very predictable.

The problem comes mixing the 3 styles together. The 1st and 3rd can morph into one another. Its the stupid EDM stuff that spoils the whole thing.
