Unknown@Kremlin, 4.29.00 (was Oakenfold @ the Kremlin). Might be Digweed or Sasha?

Since floorfiller and i are trying to get the track list completed for this set, we figured it should be posted correctly. We're both convinced it's NOT Oakenfold, and many of the tracks ID'd so far match up with Sasha and/or Digweed circa 2000. So we figured we'd get Sash & Diggers fans involved It's an amazing set, and deserves to be ID'd. Help us out here... we've only got 6 tracks to go!

1) 00:00-03:58(?) - ID
2) 03:59-09:47 - ID (These 2 may be 1 track)
3) 09:48-16:00 - ID
4) 16:01-22:39 - ID
5) 22:40-30:28(?) - ID
6) 30:29-34:14 - Northface - Entity
7) 34:15-42:36 - ID
8) 42:36-49:26 - BT - Dreaming
9) 49:27-56:01 - Saturn (Tarrantella vs Redenka)
10)56:02-63:44 - Tilt - Angry Skies
11)63:45-70:30 - Hybrid - Theme From Wide Angle (Rolling Thunder Dub)

Track 7 is also spun by Digweed @ Massive in Ulricht back in Feb 2000, but I can't find the name of the tune. I'm trying to find a way to break the set up so I can put samples up. If anyone has any recommendations for mp3 splitters let me know (yes yes I know to go to the other forum for that stuff ) This set may have been from Partynight on Radio 538, since you can hear a voice saying "night" right when it is starting. The full run time is 70:30, so if you have the one that's 39mins long you're missing half of it. That's all I've got!

Actually, it is Utrecht instead of Ulricht!!!!!!! I was there, it was the same location as Trance Energy, Jaarbeurs!

Posted by Freezel on Sep-25-2002 22:19:

it's probably Digweed. On the Kremlin-site (Here you can check which dj's have performed and the date they performed. There's no date on Digweed's page, but I'm sure he's the one. Paul Oakenfold's date is May 2002. Sasha isn't there, so it must be Digweed!

Posted by Floorfiller on Sep-26-2002 01:55:

hmmmm it yes that oakie was there on 4/28/2000 and it does say digweed in the hole month. maybe the date is wrong too because it really doesn't sound like oak.

Posted by Zoot on Sep-26-2002 10:40:

Oakenfold was there on 4/29/00. It was him, Tiesto, Cross and I think 1 other DJ. I've got a link somewhere to the site that's got the schedule. And I saw it on Kremlin's site about a year ago. I thought for awhile it must've been Tiesto... but it doesn't really sound like him either. I'm almost positive it was Digweed after hearing some of his 2000 live sets.

And I'm sorry about having the wrong city! I got it off the mp3! You can also note the lovely flag under my name I am so jealous... that must've been an amazing night!!

I've got a set from Radio 538 which is labeled as Digweed but it actually has 3 or 4 dj's on it, so perhaps Oakenfold spun the set before or after the one that was released as being him? Just a thought...

Alright guys I'm running out of 2000 prog sets to listen to... your turn to ID

Posted by Zoot on Sep-26-2002 10:45:

Oops one other thought: Does anybody know if there's an archive of radio 538 Partynight schedules? Perhaps then we could find what it is? (Since I can't speak Dutch or anything else besides English and Spanish this would probably be your area, Freeze ) Hey it's an idea! *L*

what is the digweed set that has 3-4 djs on it... i might try and give it a listen and see if oak is in there.

oh and this definitely isn't tiesto either hehe.

Posted by Floorfiller on Sep-26-2002 15:06:

ok this just dawned on me... i don't know if its anything. maybe they just got the year wrong. so i looked at the kremlin site and saw that Timo Maas played 4/29/2000 at kremlin. does this remind anyone of some of his sets? that could one... explain why someone might mix up with oak and two... maybe help id some more tunes.

i still think its digs, but i'll start dling some maas to check.

Posted by Zoot on Sep-26-2002 21:02:

I saw Timo Maas live at Area 1... wow what a show. I'm sorry but I saw Oakie that night and I thought Timo was more fun (then again the dance tent was packed and damn close to unbearable when Oakie was on... on grass on a 100 degree day! Blech!). He spun a great set. Anyways I guess it *could* be him, but I don't think so... haven't ever heard of him dropping any of the tunes ID'd so far... not that that means anything! As far as Oakenfold at Area 1 goes, my friend was up in the front and thought he was great. So I guess it had more to do with the atmosphere than anything? When I heard him at Coachella in 2001 he was f-ing incredible!!! Wish I could find someone that taped that set!

i've been a little busy this weekend, but i haven't forgot about the id's and realized that i finally got a complete version of the set off the hub so don't worry about sending it to me anymore, lets finish the ids.

4) 16:01-22:39 - ID
5) 22:40-30:28(?) - ID

and 9 isn't the Quivver mix... thats the only one i could find though

Posted by benni on Oct-01-2002 21:01:

I've been trying to find this mix tracklist everywhere, i've got this mix, but its been a while since i got it, and i dont remember where i got it, i searched the forum a long time ago, but didn't find any tracklist, and i dont think its oakenfold either, it just doesn't sound like him, it has some chemical brothers sounds in track 4, and i'd really like to know the name of track 7, its slammin' :>

On the Kremlin site it says 'TWO DAYS OF KAOS [28.04.2000 & 29.04.2000]'

the link just shows some pictures of that night...

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-01-2002 21:31:

yo hybrid,

i'll start checking the chem bros thanks... anymore info would be appreciated hehe.

damn this is frustrating... i know i've heard 1 and 4 before. DAMN YOU MYSTERY SET!!!!!

Posted by Zoot on Oct-01-2002 23:41:

Hello!

Angry Skies is the original mix (at least that's how the one I downloaded was labeled and it was the same). The remix I listed for Saturn is correct also (using the same criteria). Glad you got the whole set!! I have been trying to put samples up on a website but am having problems converting the bitrate to make them decent sized. Give me a week or so

Yay yay yay! Please let's not let this thread die!

Posted by Zoot on Oct-01-2002 23:44:

As for track 7 if anyone can find a tracklist for Digweed @ Massive 2/2000 then he spun it there. Could be the answer!

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-02-2002 03:20:

zoot,

your mp3 must be mislabeled, its the Quivver remix. i have all the mixes of the song and the original has totally different vocals in it. i've tried to find the tracklist to massive 2000,but just got the cue without the id's. ok i'll keep searching. talk to you later.

good work Hybrid... could you possibly post some of the other missing songs in there? that seemed to work pretty fast

and oh yeah just a guess on the Saturn track since zoot said thats how it was labeled.

Posted by Zoot on Oct-02-2002 20:45:

No no no I'm sure you're right about Saturn. I dl'd it a year or 2 ago and I think you're right. And WAY TO GO HYBRID!!! You are a total rock star. Every time I tried to resample the mp3 clips they got all garbled. Nice job!

Posted by Zoot on Oct-02-2002 21:38:

Got another track up here http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...&threadid=67618

Keep your fingers crossed!

Posted by Floorfiller on Oct-02-2002 22:05:

sorry about the post in the id thread... i went to look and accidentally posted in there.

anyway, as far as tarrentella - saturn (tarrentella vs redanka remix)...

this acutally exists. i haven't found a rip of it yet but its on Underground Beats Series 3 Vol 8 hehehehe. i'm asuming since the only two mixes i've seen are the quivver and this one, and your mp3 was labeled the way it was that this is the mix that we heard.

Posted by Zoot on Oct-02-2002 22:31:

I hope so! These labels can be quite misleading! I just downloaded POB-Waah and it doesn't sound like track 7. So I went to www.platipus.com to see if they had a sample of the evolution mix and it kind of sort of sounded like it, but it's not really long enough to tell. I don't hear a single "Waah" on the Kremlin mix... does anybody have a copy of this track? (the Evolution mix, that is)...

Posted by benni on Oct-03-2002 15:09:

yeah, its prolly not the Evolution mix... but i dont know any other mixes, maybe Original?

im gonna try to find it in soulseek, 'cause i cant find it on the hub.
