Re: Guvernment improving?

Guess I'll have to go and keep and eye on them...

Actually a friend is celebrating her Birthday on that day a Guv, as well a few other friends are all celbrating the anniversary of them all meeting 1yr ago at the Guv, so I have a feeling it will be a good night.

All TTA's should come out for this, try and claim the Guv for our own, or atleast a portion of it. Just a thought....

Cheers,
Fats

Sounds like Guv is trying to earn back our business. Good for them, at least it shows that they care now. The price is pretty good for the talent, and capping the capacity sounds very tempting. Looks like they are listening to the patrons for once.
I will be there! ( Kool Haus)
Thank you Guv staff.

I guess I will just wait and see that 90% cap implementation... gotta check out that Seaman guy... haven't heard much about this Corsten fella, so I won't be wasting my time on him

Good stuff.. the more people go to Kool House, the more room to dance for me

Posted by mot10n on Sep-27-2002 19:06:

hmm...

sure, it looks good on paper, but will they follow through with it? last time i went to guv we left early (right before armin came on) cuz we were so cramped. we lost out, but it was pissig us off. anyways, i'll be there cheering corsten on. punk all the way.

Hmm...normally I'd say "no, not anymore!"

But because of this,

"Access will be capped at 90%.
Please arrive early to avoid disappointment."

I think it's worth a try. Perhaps, just perhaps, there's someone with brains over there!

I bet you they just say that to get people back into the club! But I would not be surprised if it was still the same amount of people in the club!

Posted by mot10n on Sep-27-2002 21:33:

probably. anyways, i've heard that if you stick around past 2, more room is available. for ferry i'll be staying the whole night.

this is a good price guys! 15 bucks before 1am, but before 1am i know it will be rammed ill try to get there before 11 or earlier...

My only disenchantment with the Guv. has been the overcrowding. If they get that issue under control, I will be a real happy guy. The club always treats us with great talent and I really like the sound/lighting/decor of the venue. I can't wait for Corsten, last time I saw him in Feb. of this year, was probobly the best nigh I had this whole year. He was absolutely OFF THE CHARTS!!! When he dropped Carte Blanche, OMG! Anyways, I will definitively be there with all my usual TAs. Only 2 more weeks.

I will not be able to make to this event. My work is taking me away from Toronto for a long time.. I wish to all TA's to have a great time at Guvernment 6 Year Anniversary.

Yeah I think that part about the guv keeping capacity @ 90% is a bunch of bullshit, as a few of you said it will be packed as always for special events...
But I will have to wait and see the turn out myself...

There are no advanced tickets. However, I believe the cover will increase after 1am from $15 to $20.

Albert.
