From USofA...

Yes I know Scott Bond!!! I LOVE Scott Bond. I have never seen him live, seeing how he has never been here, but I have heard numerous sets of his. I think he is very good. I would agree that he is better than Tiesto. I look forward to seeing him sometime next fall.

Agree, Agree, Agree!

If u r are close to NY he does limelight alot, gatecrasher takeover that club every two weeks i think and he plays quite regularly there.

He is a quality under-rated DJ... so we can forgive him for eating all the pies

peace

I won't quite call him underrated.
he has risen to stardom this year after numerous shows at gatecrasher and his essential mix in february was great.

he is simply a great DJ.
but I wont go and say he's better than Tiesto.
In fact I rate them both equally great.

PvT

Posted by tu_face on Apr-26-2001 14:41:

i said he was under-rated because no-one outside the uk (hardly anyway) knows who he is i wuoldrate him equal to tiesto... its hard to say though because ive heard them both play amazingly.. but ivenot heard scott bond be sht, and i have with tiesto (the first time i saw him he was tripe lol)

peace

I'd say he not only is better than Tiesto, but he is also better than the much over-rated, same song playing........Paul van Dyk!!!

Posted by patticus on Apr-27-2001 19:00:

ive only heard his essential mix
which was great

where else can i DL him

Posted by Paul_Van_Trance on Apr-27-2001 20:33:

Yes tu_tace.. he IS quite unknown outside England coz he has risen quite lately ehre in the UK and as soon as he starts touring the world this summer his name should be clicking in ppl's minds in USA, Canada or wherever.

apart from his latest essential mix, I haven't really looked furthur for more sets but if u get ur hands on the one he did b2b with Tiesto at GC make sure u tell me where u find that

later

Posted by DJ Guangzhou on Apr-27-2001 22:37:

Scott Bond has done three essential mixes.

Posted by tu_face on Apr-28-2001 01:55:

the b2b sesson wasntcovered by raptureor galaxy, so i think u will find it hard to find it... sorry dood i should have got ur number and called u up from in there, let u hear it from there lol...

also gatecrasher CD'z are usually mixed by scott bond and either matt hardwick, simon raine or simon oates..
peace

Posted by patticus on Apr-28-2001 07:17:

yes, guangzhou, my mistake (i think its 2?)
just never got the chance to hear his older ones, like '99

not exactly floating around on napster, ESP now.

Posted by DJ Guangzhou on Apr-28-2001 20:43:

24-05-1998
3-1-1999
9-1-2000
18-2-2001

That is four Essential Mixes.

Posted by patticus on Apr-29-2001 00:51:

Ummmm, I hope that was a pathetic attempt at humor....

Posted by patticus on Apr-30-2001 07:12:

yeah, make a stupid statement
"that is four"
get a stupid rebuttal
"no that is three"

looks like someone else enjoys the wonderful website brought to us by phil cole.

Posted by DJ Guangzhou on Apr-30-2001 07:22:

Unhappy

Ouch, very rude. I didn't mean to make such a redundant statement. It's just that I originally thought there were 3 and you thought there were only 2. I was correcting us both. Try not to be such an asshole, their really is no need to be so condescending.

Posted by patticus on Apr-30-2001 08:07:

not trying to be an asshole really, just a jerk. my sincere apologies though, it wont happen again

or at least, not to you

Posted by Bouma-Bros on Apr-30-2001 12:21:

Here in Holland Scott Bond gets more and more recognision! For me he is the Number 2 DJ in the world, after the maestro Tiesto.

Anybody who gor his mix CD together with John Kelly??? I forgot the name of the album... It's released 2 years ago i think...

Cheers from Tiesto-Land!

Sido (50% Bouma-Bros.)

Posted by DJSi on May-02-2001 10:45:

Yeah I've been to some of Scott Bond's sets....he's good real good...maybe not as good as some of Tiesto sets, but still blinding!

He was down here last weekend actually ... one amazing set Should have been there!

Posted by Sumaya on May-09-2001 16:48:

Indeed i didnt hear of him before massive....but then he came and ruled the eve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gr8 man!!

Posted by tu_face on May-09-2001 22:16:

ok show of skillz... last saturday he out-played:

Seb Fontaine
Judge Jules
Tall Paul
Max Graham (probably.. but i missed max.. can someone verify that?)
Tiesto

he pisses on most ppl that come and play @ crasha.. except lucien foort, sandra collins, and a couple of other ppl

Posted by Volksjoolz on May-10-2001 23:56:

Cool

i agree with you to an extent there....he did play alot harder and ubeat tunes than the rest of the dj's that night..but he also had the advantage of finishin which usually bides well in my opinion as dj's that finish the night off tend to build it to a cressendo and blow the place apart..overall then scott bond kicks ass!!!
but....Max graham apsolutly pumped it at the start!the dance floor was full much quicker than normal, his upliftin proggy style (that the way to describe it?) was far superior to sebs even tho i was impressed by his set also!

party hard!

Posted by tu_face on May-14-2001 11:36:

well i missed max graham cuz of the train situ but i know max always gets us hyped i wasnt too impressed with seb though... true about the playin last thing, although it aint 100% true cuz i remember jules playin last once and he was poo lol. Whenever he plays he outplays most of them in my veiw.

peace
