what is the most unique or unusual tune you've ever heard?
i am quite new to electronic music.
if i want to listen to a trance/techno/prog tune that is out of this world. what tune will it be?
dariush - ira is pretty different than most stuff I've heard.......... quite the good track.
For a tune that doesn't sound like any others, I'd try
Hampenberg - Ducktoy
topside
all Scooter songs because they belong in a genre of their own
Comedy Pop Trance

for psy:
Infected Mushroom - Symphonatic !
I believe Umek - Gatex is a 1 (Or 1st) of a kind track!
Oliver Lieb mix is the best if you looking for club action IMO

thanks everyone... definitely be looking out for these tunes.
probably Picottos's mix of Taub.. So good
very unique.
Some real original tunes:
Sasha - Xpander, re-wrote the prog' trance/trance rule book.
Slacker - Your Face - is it minimal techno, is it tech trance, is it tech-house??? Thats the beauty of it.
Airscape - Pacific Melody - Stood out in 1997 amongst the trance crowd. Just sounded different.
DJ Tiesto - Lethal Industry - really new sounding
Dj Tiesto - Flight 643 - Very innovative, and daring.
CJ Bolland - The prophet and everything of the album 'the analogue theatre'.
L.S.G - Into the deep (Album) On the UK release the 1st CD is ambient like you have never heard it. The only way I can begin to describe it is 'ambient techno'!! The 2nd CD is typical Oliver Lieb business.
Anything by Underworld
Anything by Tipper
Anything by the future sound of london.
Anything by Leftfield
Any probably loads of other stuff I have forgotten.
Sasha - Ohmna
<< Rank 1 - Many Miles, Too Soon >>
anything by astral Projection
also citizen canned - the journey
Umex - Gatex, for sure ! unique and absolutely brilliant.

prototype - control of sound (james niche mix)
guy gerber & sahar z - kenny's back (original mix)
sasha - cloud cuckoo
ossia & mitchell - about time
not dance music, but Perrey & Kingsley (The Amazing New Electronic Pop Sound) - The Little Ships...ehehehehehe
you want unique/unusual sounds?
go to fruityloops, take 10 samples at your choice, right-click on each of them, choose "randomize". now listen to that pattern looping continuosly for like 10 minutes.

People have already said it but...
Anything by Underworld and Umek - Gatex.
Marco V is pretty special as well. Although most of his tracks sound similar they dont sound like anything else (If you get what I mean)
Chemical Brothers. Very Differant. I'm pretty sure they should have their own genre.
