Thanks
Name just popped into my mind while i was playing with the strings heh, and "pulling strings" has another meaning too, advanced word play :P

A perfect opener for both a progressive and a trance set.I like the mellow, subtle vibe this tune has....mmmmmm.You should however try to ease in a few soft chords on top of the tune in the second half,as the tune approaches the end. It'll make the tune even more interesting, and reduce the degree of monotoness.Other than that,a solid production, and like I said:a perfect set-opener.

Now go finish some more tunes, you Bonzai-ho.

LOL!
that's not what I had in mind, but that will do too. Now the title can be interpreted 3 ways

nice track man!

i really like the intro, very chilling
nice breakbeat, percussion and bassline
cool fx-sounds u`ve used there..

overall, it sounds very nice and proffesional, but it could use some more melody imo, it might get a bit bored if u leave it this way

lovely track. very deep, great sounds and fx! i just don't like the breakbeat at the start of the track. but apart from that, very nice job..

Posted by Lira on Dec-28-2002 23:19:

I really liked this tune... cool breakbeat, nice FX, deep chords (and I'm not into prog, Haak, so you must've done a very good job ). By the way, I just think you should do something to "warn" about the existence of those breakbeats: I was totally tripping on the strings and then, out of the blue, the first bassdrum came and scared the hell out of me Or else, you could fade them in....

Once again, good job

Posted by Haak on Dec-28-2002 23:27:

thanks for commenting everybody!
maaz, yeah you are right. I'll try fading them in

fuck me matey, this sounds proper profesional, quality of kicks, bass & synths is immaculate, I LOVE the synth that comes in around 5 minutes, thats very cool, all those little bassey extras that come in every now & then are cool, they really give the track a good atmosphere
this is probably the best track Ive heard in this section, quality prog!!!

Posted by DJ Libor on Dec-29-2002 19:06:

Cool

I say get this one herd by Diggerz, he will have it signed to the Bedrock label i am sure, its just want they want, deep driving proggy beats nice work mate

edited due to obscene language

I haven't done anything to it yet, straight from reason

Posted by DJPrototypeX on Dec-30-2002 15:29:

damn...pretty good tune dude...sounds pro...only thing i didnt like is that it has too many breaks for me...pauses...too many...just me though...other than that its solid...great werk

Posted by sot on Dec-30-2002 15:38:

woww amazingggggggg track..one thing i would change is the break beat kick's pattern in the begining of the track..its arranged in a weird pattern thats not to pleasing to the ear other than that awesome track

Posted by Icone on Dec-30-2002 15:59:

Sweet tune mate, nice atmosphere and drums. Minimalistic in some ways, but I'm sure a company like Bonzai Trance Progressive might like it
Perhaps take a different artist name before you do that... Cause 'Haak' makes me slightly think of 'Captain Hook' in the dutch Peter an movie hehe But that won't be a problem I guess...

Nice job mate, glad to have you finish one at last
Greetz,
Wim

yeah, I agree it's a little weird, but that's cause it's supposed to fit when the kick drum comes in, so the 2 kicks won't run on top of eachother. Kinda the same idea as in the beginning og DJ Tiesto - Sparkles (Starecase remix), but it does sound better there heh, I will try changing it; since so many of you seem to not like it
