Talking DJs/Producers to look out for this year!

DJ's:

Jon O'Bir
You've heard of him already, if you haven't, I haven't been shouting loud enough. Godskitchen resident, an allround top bloke

Chris Turner
Heard him for the first time on Friday, class act, did an amazing warm up set, also Godskitchen Resident

Matt Hardwick
For sheer global domination, those lucky enough to be at Viva in toronto on friday, and New York last night know what I mean. He is your new favourite DJ

Producers:

Neo and Farina
Did some quality work last year, backed it up this year with the remix of Calling your name, going all the way

Robert Nickson
Member of TA forums, his remix of 5th Dimension - Rain of Emotion was Armins tune of the week, very talented, won't send me 052 so I don't know why I'm mentioning him

Aspirations
I used to go to school with these lads, and I found out about them by accident. First big tune is called Aspirations - Eternity, very nice tune, long breakdown, cool vocals, very well produced, the next is the remix of Jose Amnesia - The Eternal. It gives a completely new perspective on the tune, and Rob Aker loves it . They've got a night in Cardiff called Horizons if anyone fancies going

anyone else??

Yes it is, I've been caning it, if anyone wants to hear it, I play it on tranceairwaves.com
well those guys are the ones off the top of my head, there's a DJ called Dean P that plays at frisky, he's awesome, hopefully he'll make it big this year, he's doing Slinky I think, he deserves it

I haven't gotten to listen to any of the other DJ/producers that you have mentioned, but definitely Matt Hardwick, without a doubt. I've a feeling this year hes gonna stretch and start touring the globe a little, and make a serious climb on the DJ Mag charts

definately, he's a better DJ than anyone in the top 10, easily

Just heard Neo and Farina - Mondial.......
they're gonna be REALLY big!

I hope Gabriel & Dresden will do an amazing job this year. Last year was quality and with an upcoming EM to do they will probably tear the roof off

Well there's a remix they did of Re-Mote - The Spirit
and there own tune Audiowarp - We Bring The Future

I thought their remix of the spirit was a bit different, worth checkin out.

I also agree on the Neo & Farina thing - quality stuff.

Also judging on recent hype and releases - I think the Beat Pushers will make a bigger name for themselves.

Smoking ..umm..something

I think Neo & Farina esp. are gonna be big this year

Posted by noikeee on Jan-19-2003 19:42:

my bet is on Paul Mendez.

Posted by torontotrance on Jan-19-2003 19:48:

Luke Fair - Great toronto dj

Aidan Lavelle - Brother of James Lavelle, headed for bigger and better things.

Gabriel & Dresden. They sort of popped out of nowhere and their remix list goes on and on of great tunez. Listen to their last 3 livesets on Global DJ Broadcast and see what I mean. Kind of a trancey/housey sound to their sets and remixes. Wicked wicked style.

According to ID-T, DJ Joop is gonna be quit big

I myself see these DJs become big

DJ Quitin (Holland)
James Zambiella (UK)

Hopefully Nu-NRG will get bigger.

All of the people you mentioned deserve to make it big this year but:

JON O'BIR & MATT HARDWICK!

Posted by Rakoon on Jan-19-2003 21:47:

I think Benicio might be big this year. For now watch out for Jacob & Mendez - Deception (Benicio Remix) and a new unnamed Benicio single.

Posted by Haak on Jan-19-2003 22:06:

I think Miika Kuisma and Beetseekers are producers to look out for, both from Finland

Posted by Prism on Jan-19-2003 22:10:
