Dunno Best OS Microsoft has ever released?

In your opinion, what was the best OS that Microsoft has ever crapped out???

P.S. I personally think Windows 2000 Pro is the best one out there...

Cheers!

dos or windows nt, both nice stable os's, who remembers the wars between msdos and drdos?

Posted by netw3rkd on Jan-24-2003 15:48:

DOS for sure.

I just installed XP and I think it's pretty cool, much more stable than win98se and it just seem to generally flow much better

XP PRO

I've never once gotten a blue screen error, runs quickly, installs software for my new hardware automatically, etc. My only gripe is that it's not compatible with some things like my webcam that cost $200

I'm gonna say dos.

I dont think dos ever crashed on me, and on top of that, you look like a pro to n00bs when you're flying around dos, and know all the comands.

When i was like 8, i used to delete all my dads programs, so i could fit my games on our 20mb Hard drive

WinXP Professioanl!

Best Microsoft OS? That question is an Oxymoron. Those two words don't belong together. So far I've liked XP the best.

MAC OSX ownz you!

LOL! I've been waiting for someone to say that!

DOS was a great OS back in the day but if we're talking windows, 2000 has been the best.

I have Windows Xp Pro and i'm very happy of it.
Also Windows 98se, Windows 2000 and the legendary dos are(or was) good OS but my favourite @ the moment is XP Pro.

Same with me. I've been on a computer since I was around 8. Had a 486 with 4MB of RAM and a 2GB hard drive. DOS was the greatest lol, simple yet effective.

I couldn't agree more!

DOS. so good. But because of the applications released today, windows 2k pro. Too bad they have some sort of pseudo-dos shell.

Talking

Windows 98 Second edition is one the most stablest OS out there.

Posted by StereoPrincess on Jan-25-2003 03:26:

My computer is only compatible with 98 Second Edition. i have no problems ever. i guess it depends on the system, my computer is really old.

Posted by Ultraphu on Jan-25-2003 04:25:

I'd have to go with Windows 95.

Posted by Arbiter on Jan-25-2003 05:09:

2000 professional edition

it wasn't necessarily good, but its the one they've made I wouldn't call "abysmal"

Posted by Magimaster on Jan-25-2003 07:23:

LOL

DOS was cool, but I could never figure out all the commands. After 3 years of not using it, I've totally forgotten most of the essential tools.

My computer is running ME . considering the abuse I put my computer through (I have a screenshot where it shows 0 MB free on my c: ) it hasn't had a total meltdown yet.

everyone's forgetting the best one!
Windows RG!
