3 DJ Sammy & Yanou feat. Do Heaven

!!!!!!!!

Ok I thought Dave Pearce was bad but this takes the PISS. This song should not EVER be on a compilation with Strange World and the like.

Who else here hates Dave Pearce???????

Wow, there's a TON of cheese on that cd!

oh well, not like Im buying it.

Posted by oDrori on Jan-25-2003 21:13:

Dance music isn't just Ian van Lasgo D.D. Yanou 's music.
Dance music isn't just Armin van Dyk Tiesto Corsten music either.

Dave just put both of this sub - genereal aspects into one compilation.

Dave Pearce + Gun + Bullets = Less Cheese

The fact that theres some extraordinarely awesome, all time classics and best tracks ever made in trance history, should not be, EVER be on the same CD compilation that DJ SAMMYS and the other pop dance tracks are in.

This compilation though, fits pretty good for a trance starter, beginner. I would recommend it to them. But for aficionados and those that praise the quality of trance.... should not be looking close to buying a CD like this. IT should be called.. the gathering of the most TOP ranked trance/pop dance music.

too bad there's so much cheese on there...
2 Love Inc. Youre A Superstar
3 DJ Sammy & Yanou feat. Do Heaven
17 Darude - Sandstorm
31 Barthezz - On The Move

these are all the ones i recognize

there are a lot of good tracks also, but the cheese just ruins it

Posted by Matt on Jan-25-2003 21:54:

how dare they put a classic like Born Slippy NUXX on a CD full of so much cheese

Exactly. Good for the trance/"techno" newbie. It's a shame to see such class tracks mixed with utter crap

Ah, the latest in an ever-widening line of 'best of' compilations mixing the cheesy and cringeworthy with the classic and unforgettable.

At least this one doesn't launch a specific attack on the integrity of trance, even if the title does suggest that all of the featured tracks are Dave Pearce's own productions.

The CD clearly features many gems - typically you've got Cafe del Mar and For An Angel on there as well as Airwave, Expander and Born Slippy - but they're surrounded by shit. Considering dance anthems have been in production for some time, I find it strange that true early 90s classics have been omitted in favour of commercial garbage such as A Little Less Conversation and You're A Superstar.

Oh well, misguided and uneducated youths can stick to these blatant cash-ins while I continue to pick up quality Godskitchen and Gatecrasher releases. Now to find my Prozac...

I hate dave pearce, and i am frequently told of in the uk trance addit chat room having a go at him.

For a trance started kit why not try The Very Best of Euphoria: mixed my matt darey - at least the dj and album have some credibility.

Dave pearce's track listings are always total toss, he's longest transition is about 6 seconds, and he is clearly a 42 year old virgin who still lives with his parents (no offense to TTA intended).

I still have nightmares about his attempted mix from southern sun > Fergie - bass generator on ibiza euphoria 2002.

Also, i think my various anti-pearce signatures show what a tosser he is in my eyes

There is a ton of cheese, but mixed in with the cheese are some of trance's golden classics. How many CDs is this? I'm betting all the tracks are heavily edited.

Posted by whiskers on Jan-26-2003 04:14:

where's jon wayne - because the night?

i am not going to buy that cd unless jon wayne is on there

Posted by smallSHEEP on Jan-26-2003 04:55:

Er yea, but it's labled very best of dance anthems, not trance anthems. i.e. It will be cheese so whats the problem???

This is infact pretty good for a 'Dance' CD, tons of classic stuff cheese or not. This kind of album is the stuff that gets people into the more underground tunes.

yea, but it's cool to slag it now don't ya know!

Posted by noikeee on Jan-26-2003 14:49:

this may be good for the newbies, but the truth is that it puts some classics where they don't belong and gives them a bad name. putting masterpieces of artwork like Xpander together with DJ Sammy is just bad.

Posted by djmorph on Feb-08-2003 14:22:

you guys have to understand that he's trying to make money on this shit, he's not gonna do that by putting out a totally underground CD or please everyone. AND he's a dj and what does a dj do? they gotta cater to the majority of the people in the auidience or (in this case) that are going to buy his CD. and there are more people that like cheese so he's going to put that on there to make money.

Posted by barryfigiel on Feb-08-2003 15:36:

Thumbs down

I hate Dave Pearce too. Don't think he can spell 'track' or 'selection'!

lateRZ,

barryfigiel

feck off, we don't want him ruining our genre

Posted by Rostros on Feb-08-2003 17:52:

Dave Pearce Ehh , Well the CD id give it 5/10 for tracklistings , what you have to take into consideration is that they want ppl to buy the album , one its a dance anthem and not trance anthem , the people who put this together prob virgin record company , they just use daves name to promote it , as all the scallys thinks Wow Dave Pearce what a fookin dude , personal i dont mind shit being sold on shelves, as if id buy another cd again , thanks RIAA , hehe.

think i need a shit after that. !!!
