Question New remix comp???

The last one was a blast and i'm sure everyone enjoyed it...
There was an enormous amount of talent displayed by every single artist and I was just overwhelmed by the amount of talent...

How about a new remix comp???
Any ideas?
Thoughts?
Comments?

I sure had a lot of fun with the last one and I would love to participate in another compo...

Yeah, I'm up for it, just as long as we get a better tune to work with

I've got quite a lot of midi files to various tracks if needed...

how about we remix a ta-made track? is the owner agress of course..

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Feb-04-2003 11:38:

That would be a good idea too but how do we decide what track to use?

Lost Tribe - Gamemaster...would be cool to remix.

put it to a vote... bit like amateur track of the year, where the track needs nominating + consent from the owner

Cool

doing a poll seems like a better idea, especially if it is an amateur track i reakon. i got pissed off with both the last 2 comps and just gave up lol coz im not a great fan of either track 2 ben with

i think it would be fun to do up an oldskool song or like a DnB track or something, to bring it up to date if u get my drift hehe

Posted by Martin McG on Feb-04-2003 15:05:

a vote would be the fairest way and if you dont like the track thats picked you can pull out early enough to let others in

Posted by DJ-Kreing^^ on Feb-04-2003 15:20:

Dont u think it should be up to Fatboy to decide?

Like in the past comps the winner should choose the next competiton's track.

Posted by Martin McG on Feb-04-2003 15:43:

yeah if he has a certain track in mind then yeah why not

but if he doesnt then the fairest way is a vote

tbh, its a crap rule, if he wants why not, but i think a vote is much fairer

how about old trance anthems everybody loves?

Like "push - universal nation"

Posted by Nightflowers on Feb-04-2003 19:33:

yeah I think remixing a great old trance anthem, like "Legend B - Lost In Love" or "Quench - Dreams", would be amazing

Posted by Martin McG on Feb-04-2003 20:57:

i say

carte blanche
universal nation

or some other 99 classics

preferably carte blanche though lads! OWNAGE

Posted by Pjotr G on Feb-04-2003 21:22:

how 'bout " theme from norefjell"

[edit] forget I even said that, Push - universal nation all the way here [/edit]
oh well I'll just keep editing as I think of other cool stuff....Kominoko - Man from Mars

Posted by Costa del Sol on Feb-04-2003 22:01:

GREAT! My vote goes for Carte Blanche!!! One of my fav tracks of all the time!!

Posted by DJ-Kreing^^ on Feb-04-2003 22:32:

Might be cool to try remixing a tune from a whole difrent ganre, maybe rock or pop or something like that.

Or maybe we could try remix some really very cheezy tune.
(DJ Sammy & Yanou - Heaven , Barthezz - On The Move etc...)

Could be interesting...

Posted by nils on Feb-04-2003 22:47:

yeah! i'm with Kreing on the cheeze remixing. actually a few cheezy tunes has become trance monsters... not that i can think of one atm..

but for the love of god, not "carte blanche"! that's a classic NOT to be remade!

The decision is totally up to Fatboy. It was in the contest rules that winner gets to pick the next one. And also... why do we need another remix competition so soon after the last one just finished?

Uhm... The tune was perfect. If you're talking about the acapella, I used the low quality version and it sounded great. If I'm correct, you made remix # 3. That's a nice techno track, but the vocals were put in very bad & awfull.... So maybe it's not the vocals, maybe it's just you...?

BTW Congrats to Fatboy. I didn't vote cuz I participated, but if I had voted, it would be your remix!

I'm not talking technically.

I absolutely hated those vocals to begin with and that's the reason I just chucked the vocals on top of that track without even trying to match them.
