^^^^^^^^^^ that is what will make us NEVER reach for the stars and other galaxies because we will all fucking KILL eachother LONG before that is ever possible. Humanity sucks ass mainly because of attitudes like the one above.

I guess my view on anti-war protesting would be different if they ever actually made a difference in any political/public decisions........unfortunately as I say, 400 years of war history proves they're useless and only cause traffic jams.

if u people think that the main objective of the war is to free iraq then u r naiive..did anyone notice in the news the neumorous talks about the oil and how the first thing the troops secured were the oil fields before any else..is it a coincidence that gas prices stopped goin up as we started war..is it a coincidence that the stock market is up as soon as war started..the blue chip rose up several days straight ever since war started..this is juat a war of lies..

Posted by Endlesswave on Mar-22-2003 03:22:

Have you ever thought of 400 years of history leading to mankind's DESTRUCTION? 400 years is NOTHING. A grain of sand in an ENDLESS dessert of the universe. Just because some people choose to think that peace is an attainable goal does not mean they are wrong and that we should abandon it because history has "proven" that war works. IMO that is a poor excuse for an argument. That history is like that so things will be repeated (I think Hegel mentioned something of this?). I think we CAN change. It's just the optimist in me...

It is too man some people (those in power) think that it is better to keep thinking the same old "tried and true" way of things instead of looking at alternatives (and using war as a last resort ONLY if everything has been exhausted and the support of others is behind you).

No one said we couldn't change, but I can assure you vomitting in front of political buildings and holding up signs in the middle of roads isn't going to do it.......

Posted by Endlesswave on Mar-22-2003 03:33:

You have a point. Vomitting doesn't solve world peace. If only it did! lol Still, reacting and doing nothing is just as lame. Lest you forget how in earlier times revolutions HAD happened and change DID occur, I could name many examples... the English uprisings of the middle class etc. Sure it's not war but change is possible, that's all I meant.
