So it looks that there gonna be around 14 mixes in this competition. Not that bad.

yeah if some judges who write something about each transitions it would be really great.

the reason why I registered for this competition is to get feedback. I think thats one of the main problems of all amateuer djs. If you are not on an internet radio show you have problems to find a hand full of listeners. or if you find some in most cases they didnt give you any feedback.

when I listen my own mixes I usually "hear" them in a different way other people do. I hear any mistake I made and I concentrate more on each transition than just having good time by listening to the music flow.

so it would be really nice from the judges to take the competion serious and make some notes for each mix or in best case for each transition.

I'm not a great writer by any means, but I did that in the last competition and posted a .pdf (IIRC) in the thread.

I think I"ve posted 2, 3 or 4 (my old brain needs a vacation) mixes on this site, and have received a grand total of 1 feedback note on them. I actually was let into the TA DJ mix comp 2 and scored well against the real DJ's, but again I got no feedback. It's tough if you are trying to please people with music when you only have your opinion to judge by.

I know that in the last competition I heard what maybe the very best (technically speaking) mix I've ever heard. I don't think I said that in my 'summaries' because I started writing it before the competition ended, but I'll say it now: Marius L. - I was WOW'd by the I judged of yours .

So for those of you judges who have the time and better linguistic skills than I, please let the DJ's know your opinion and justify your marks if you really want to help them .

hey- sorry about not being more active in this forum yet- but I was just moving to university these past few days and it's been a little hectic trying to find a place to live at the last minute- but I'm sure my mix will be in by the 5th

I've made notes on every single mix I've judged and I've made notes again. I've been fairly impressed so far. I will message everybody my notes when the competition is done. Keep up the good work to everyone.

I guess I can not participate this time. Sonething with my internet connection is wrong. I cant upload large files.

I can tell i like some mixes but i also had some mixes which where bad.
When i'm telling the truth nobody will be hating me?

I've gone through a couple that weren't so good either, but I will give everyone my honest opinion, I just hope they view it is constructive criticism.

i welcome any comments on my mixes, wether i am being praised or criticised. i find both help you on your way to become a better dj.

I would hope anyone willing to submit a mix would be open to real criticism. You can't expect to only get praise

hey peoples- sorry for the mix submission delay- but i didnt have access to interned for about a week now- the only time was last tues when i had about 2min on the net @ the university.

Anyway- submitted and done- hope you can still accept it.

It was done live- using Traktor Dj Studio, I outsynked the last song so you could tell it wasnt pre-programmed.
