Except their backdoor isn't connected to the world wide web whereby anyone in the world can access it instantly. So no, it's not like that.

I guess you could be right actually. Someone is equally as stupid when they put a public webcam in their house as if they left their back door wide open all day, while in both cases afterwards complaining that strangers are watching them.

More like walking past a house, seeing the front door open an two people having sex inside, and stopping on the street to watch. Sure it's not something an individual with extremely high moral values would do, but its their stupid fault for leaving the door open.

Nah it's still open. I think its a kindergarten, all the kids are sleeping on the floor and there's two teachers sitting at a desk. And someone keeps moving the camera to a dark, boring corner. Also whats with the music - it sounds a bit too loud to be played while kids are trying to nap.

Damn it why cant I get sound?

I dont get sound in mozilla or IE

(Or at least I did)

I wonder if these people we are looking at post on other forums, imagine the threads: "I was at the laundry mat and the damn camera kept on moving, it was freaky!"

I recently noticed that some of the AXIS Video Server cameras, especially the highway ones, have password-protected controls (eg. you can't zoom, pan, or focus the cameras). One of them was pretty nice, though. I was able to zoom _way_ in and look at the big green interstate signs and see exactly where it was (near St. Louis, Illinois, USA).

Not sure if anyones already mentioned this or not cos i can't be arsed reading all the pages but..

It's not illegal in anyway. These cameras that are shown aer designed as a public webcams. If people want to use them for their own security and don't want anyone looking then its up to them to secure it.

Also you can find more cameras just by searching for the firmware version of the camer if you know it. Works best with Axis.

I think that last URL works only from around 10:00--15:00 & 19:00--23:00, Japan Time (UTC+09, all year). I've seen it up & running all day once, but never in the evening (when I want to see more than cats there! LOL ). Check http://sakura777.miemasu.net/Top?Language=4 if you don't see what I mean. "ニャンパラネコライブ(一部10時~15時.二部19時~23時" ( Part 1: 10 h -- 15 h; Part 2: 19 h -- 23 h ?) at the top of that page. The picture on that http://sakura777.miemasu.net/Top?Language=4 URL links to http://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/kiji512 as well. Any Japanese readers want to translate the `essential' info on either page?

Edit: It's working now (2005-01-06 10:43 UTC+09).

what on the earth..

I was looking at the school room one, it was an empty room, but could hear audio of people in other rooms. After panning the camera around abit, I hear a door open, and I see a shadow come near the camera, and now I can't move it anymore
