instead of going 'boing'

Well I have to say that Friday night was nothing short of fantastic. Enjoyed all sets that were played thoroughly. Crowd was totally up for it and the atmosphere was awesome. Altitude is one of those clubs that def. has an intimate feel about it. Hope all that played enjoyed themselves and took something away from the night that will always be remembered. Here is a wrapup of the night musically:

Andrew played an outstanding warm up set and couldn't have really asked for it to be done any other way. Nice mix of tunes playing very nice warm prog trance for everyone to slowly get into their night to. Well done dude, and I hope to see a lot more of you round Melbourne.

Kylie Bowers was great also, she def. had cheers from the crowd with her mix of anthems and new tunes

Discovery (Peter Ficinus) played very well also and was great to hear some of his new productions slotted in there. Good work!

Tristan & Liv played a great mix of tunes, really giving the crowd something different that agreed with both the crowd and the timeslot they were playing. Props to you both for a thoroughly enjoyable set and was a pleasure catching up with the both of you!

Chris Pana vs DJB - Was great to play with DJB. Played a mixture of old and new that really took it to the crowd. Had a thorougly enjoyable time playing with him.

DJ Artemis - Ruth really adapted to the set time and really took it up a notch with a lot drivier and particularly energetic tunes that she is reknown for. Great mixing and crowd reading ablity. Awesome stuff!

Michael Nicholl - Heard one of his new productions...this guy has produced some really solid work. Played really well and kept the pace for the crowd to finish up the night to. good work mate and hope to see more of you out there soon.

All in all a successful night for Melbourne to bear witness to some of the talent that is out there. Hope that you guys can make it down to the next one as it's great to give new aspiring dj's a platform to have themselves both heard and seen.

Big thanks to Albert for the opportunity in running and organising the night. Definately had a lot of fun and look forward to doing it again soon.

Chris Pana

Mate, it's all over now.. you can't expect people to take you seriously as a dj... ( ).

So anyways, I have to say I echo all of the above sentiments!!

Got there part way through Petey F. He killed it - the brand he played was very much to my liking and which went off without a hitch. Tristan & Liv - fair bit of contrast there (3 on 3 was wise), but I heard LOTS of people saying: "this is so different... and I LIKE IT!!" (Yeh including Tachyon!), so well done guys! (and go Tassie!!). Pana & djb took the roof off!! (pardon the cliche) -it reminded me a lot of a set Pana did about 6 months ago at a Transcend! There was just ridiculous amounts of energy, the dance floor was in a frenzy, it doesn't happen everytime, but it does happen, and it did on Friday!! Top job lads.

Greets to all the TA's I saw and hung out with!

New Horizons proves a very successful formula once again

Remy & Roland Klinkenberg - Til Ya Drop!
----
