I am having some major sadness....

A while back i had to take out my nose ring in order to get some dental x-rays done...

i couldn't get the ball back into place and the ring kept sliding around and falling out so i just got frustrated and took it out...

i was just looking at some pictures of me and my friends and the nose ring was in... now i'm TOTALLY BUMMED OUT and want it back!

do you guys know the deal with re-piercing?
i know a lot of ppl have problems with piercing scar tissue... but have any of you gotten anything re-pierced? how did it heal? any probs?

When I was 7 I got my ears re-done and it went fine. I had to take my eyebrow ring out when I was on a soccer team last year and it closed, had to get that re-done as well, it felt normal just like the first time. I think they actually pierced it a smidge to the right of where it was previously done. I suppose nose is different?
I hope all goes well if you do decide to get it done

my nose ring fell out at Dance Valley in 2004 in the dark so I couldn't even recover it. It closed up so fast that I had no choice in the matter and it was too painful for me to get pierced again so now I am without.

My suggustion though would be to call the place you got it done originally and find out for sure. Either that or get it pierced in a slightly different place then the last one was done. That way you shouldn't have any issues. From what I hear though with the scar tissue that getting the same place redone is very painful and is a cause of more infections. (accord to a friend who did this to her bellybutton)

That is what I heard as well. My cousin re did her bellybutton in the same place and it was a mess. Most piercing places wont re do the same hole that's why they went to the right a bit with my eyebrow.


ps- I have my nose done and I have a little red " bubble " beside the hole. It got smaller, but now it wont go away, wtf is this.

I got my belly button repierced after over 2 yrs of not having a ring anymore. The pain was fcking insane, when the first time i got it done i felt absolutely nothing. You'll have to be much more careful about infections as second piercings tend to get infected much much faster. It also took me about a year to heal completely as opposed to the 3 months for the first time i got it pierced.

So good luck with your re-piercing should you choose to have it done

I had my nose pierced, then over this past year, I stopped wearing a nose ring because it kept getting stuck in things (like blankets) and tearing out (i wont get into any more gory details lol)

but like 5 weeks ago, I re-pierced it in the exact same place. it hurt a LOT when I did that, but the pain went away quite shortly after and it healed nicely.

As I mentioned before I have never heard of a gay guy having it done and know numerous straight guys with it. If you your argument is based that mostly girls do it, then yes you are right... however then almost all other piercings also fit in as Ghey including ear rings. Pretty much the only piercing that Guys have more than girls are prince alberts.

Nose: left
Eye brow: right

i have one per ear and the left eyebrow. i think those three will do.

sounds like it may have been an infection... as gross as it sounds... most nose peircing infection look like little pimples... but they are packed with blood and puss.... i had a big one when i firts got my nose done... one day at work ( with some encouragement from my co-worker) i popped it ( GROSS AND MESSY ) but i never had a prob after that... but i don't think popping it is actually a good idea.... i would get some sort of antiseptic ointment and treat it a few times a day... most likely it will dry out and go away and then you can just scratch the extra dry skin off..

PS. Sorry jamie for bringing this bad boy up from the grave! i didn't know ppl would want the updates hahaha i just wanted some friendly advice!

I have been putting Sea salt, and its working, just not going away. gahh! But thanks, appreciate it~

i want to get my lip pierced... has anyone had it done (and on a scale of 1-10 how painful was it)?

hmm, I havent posted in this thread, yet somehow info that I have both nipples pierced is up there. This is false. I had 1, which has been removed.

I figured this may be the best place to put this question rather than starting a new thread on it.

I've been searching for new earrings...4 guage plugs actually. I'm kind of specific in what I want, and I KNOW they exist b/c Cale and I found a website before...but we were both retarded and didn't save the thread.

What I'm looking for are 4 guage star plugs that are screw on. I don't want ones with the O ring b/c I had a bad experience with them before and one O ringed plug was kicked out of my ear.

I want ones that are black and white preferably, or silver and black. I don't want red and black, or pink and black or any crazy colours. I'm open to being hollow, preferably not though.

Material wise I don't care if they're stainless steel, titanium or I've even seen ones that are silicone. I don't think I would like bone though...actually if I understood how you put them in and how they stay I may be open to bone. Does anyone know?

Anyway...so I was wondering if any of you have ordered plugs off the internet and/or have seen something that I'm looking for. Cale and I are having trouble finding what I want and we've searched everywhere, so I thought I'd ask the TAs for help!

Yeah i just saw something similar to that on ebay just now. Black and silver, unfortunately the star is red. Blah.



This is the other one i found but i don't think it's what you're looking for either.
