you guys...we always say that theres a whole bunch of cracked out, old, orientals at this club...but take a look at the 3rd last pic that i took with vladdy boy and some friends...lady on the right...cracked out oriental??? correct me if im wrong, but doesnt her shirt say "OLLD"????

My review!!!!!

Arrived at the guv at 11:30 after watching the hockey game, hunng out for a while, MO played the drill which kicked ass, marco v came on right on cue, and started kicking asssssss! A good night indeed, but i expected more songs from his album, although G.O.D.D kicked ass, as well as red blue purple.

I enjoyed his set more in january for some reason...

MO after was good, cool remix of fire, but when he played madonna, followed by aba (same song as the sample in madonnas song) the vibe in me just died.

went with great people, good to see chris, kiley, aga, marcin +friends!

also got to meet a few TA's which i really enjoyed!

Marco V: I did notice the off mixing and mentioned it to tamiko, but she didnt notice it -it also bugged me...Because I *know* that he can play better than that. And of course I won't hold it against him, because we all have bad nights. BUT he did make up for it with track selection!!!

Banging, dark grooves. All the tunes I wanted to hear and some nice suprises. Roc Project came out of NOWHERE .
Wikkid to hear Godd live and catch Advanced as we were leaving the club. I didn't feel positive vibes as much as I usually do. Not everyone seemed to be on their A-game and it kinda showed. I guess everyone will be out in pure TOTA force once exams are done and New Years comes around. I had a damn good time dont get me wrong! But its not that usual 10++++++ that it usually is

Unfortunately DA, no Bang Bang but i was listenin for ya. (did Ferry play eon - pocket damage?)

My review:

Wow I have some awesome friends! My night started out in London at my friend�s house at 6:30pm where a Ford SUV Limo picked us up. Thanks to all my friends and Jon for arranging this for us. After partying like crazy in the Limo and driving to pick up a few friends, we finally arrived at the Guv at 11:00pm. All 11 of us piled out and had no problem getting in. Which I had been telling all my friends it wouldn�t be busy yet, but know one believed me.

Mark Oliver was doing a great job as normal warming the crowd up. At Around 12:00 � 12:30 I heard someone on the mic saying Marco V was coming on soon. I was out smoke so I didn�t make out the rest of what he said. A few of my friends told me once I came in from my smoke that someone wished me a Happy Birthday. I know there were a few other TA�s birthdays celebrated that night so I am sure it wasn�t for me, but I was glowing once my friends told me it was for me. Well let me have my glory if it was for someone else.

Does anyone know the name they announced? Mine is Tommy!

Marco V played some awesome tunes!
I can�t believe some of the tracks he played, but I do believe he was a little off Saturday night.

Now I was pretty damn messy so I didn�t really remember hearing any bad mixes. I remember there being technical issues, there were a few speakers cutting out a few times.
Correct me if I am wrong but I remember that happening during �Hammer & Bennett � Language (Santiago Nino Tech Mix)� that�s the only time I remember problems.

Marco V had a different style then the Marco V I have seen before.

I would agree with anyone that, that was one of the best parties this year for a few reasons such as: the music, people, vibe, and the club not being super packed for once (all because of exams).

All in all I had one of the best Birthdays ever and I want to thank all my friend for making this happen� and all the TA�s I met, and if u see me next time don�t be shy say hi. I only stop dancing for a short period at a time though. I am bad with names so I am not going to try to mention some (plus it was my birthday so I was messy).

My final thought (Jerry Springer�. lol):

Marco V play the best set in July�. And all u people thought I was crazy to get my friend to pick me up from WEMF and to go all the way back to Guv for Marco V. HAHAHA!!! I hadn�t slept that whole weekend and I came running into the park at 7:30 am to WEMF with a huge smile on my face and ready to go still. But just as I arrived the music stopped�.. oh well

MARCO V RULZ�. He will return to Toronto and rip the roof of the Guv again!

shit i totally forgot about the speakers cutting out hahah... that was really fuckin wierd when it happened... i've never heard that before in guv.. wonder what was goin on.

lol it's an inside joke that started in Swirl...I was drunk and started doing a stripdance on the column...and since then it's been a regular occurence...and those damn pillars at the gallery are soo nice...and they're velvet...so I can't help myself
