If I wanted to go to Ibiza for the closing week, when should I look into booking accommodation by?

After talking to a friend who just recently got back I really hope I can make it there at the end of September. It will be a great way to start my trip.

This friend recommended a hotel in Ibiza town on a cliff. Said it was amazing, not listed on the internet and was only 69 Euro a night. Too bad I was too drunk to remember the name. Any other suggestions?

I just came back last week.. we stayed at a hotel that was just below that cliff and there was this scenic dirt road that you can take up to old Ibiza town. It's the Lux Mar hotel complex.. we were in the Aparthotel Garden building but they all pretty much look the same. We paid $484CDN for 3 nights (triple room) so not bad at all..

- Don't dare buy tickets online, you can ALWAYS get them reduced (even 5 mins before entering the club) from ticket vendors such as hotels, street promoters, club shops.

- Buy a 6 pack of large water bottles upon arrival to your hotel, as there is no freshwater on the island

- Street promoters are an awesome source for drugs, information, tickets and good times

Shelley for you (and many others) this works, but for me it has an opposite effect and can take away from the experience (especially my idea of a "holiday"). Come Day 3 of this last trip (and Miami last year) I actually started to hate clubbing. haha It becomes a chore, I start to resent all the hype surrounding MUST DO EVENTS (that ONLY HAPPEN ONCE A CENTURY), and I start to think to myself that it's all "just fucking music with people doing a lot of drugs".
