Yeah but he's got cool dreads so thats reason to include him anywhere imo.

edit-
Course this is somewhat irrelevant as the English top order can't seem to paddle their way out of the kiddies pool right again, 2-37

I guess the cvnt is bowling ok Soups?

Posted by Lilith on Dec-15-2006 11:35:

4 overs, 2 wickets, 1 maiden, for 8 runs. Didnt score a lot of runs but then again thats not exactly extraordinary from either side it seemed.
Got to admit, you do look like an ill educated yobbo.

Posted by Ian on Dec-15-2006 14:32:

I give up. we're not playing our best players, or the person best equipped to captain. we're losing & have nothing more to lose, so I'm putting money on Vaughan being put in for the next test. you heard the guess here first. until then, i sulk.

im not talking about his cricketing abilities... im talking about his form as a person.. and as a person he is a cvnt.. good on him, he bowled a maiden and picked up a couple of wickets

Posted by Dean Millson on Dec-15-2006 16:14:

why is he a cvnt?

Posted by ThatsMagic on Dec-16-2006 00:11:

Party Hat

BARMY ARMY BARMY ARMY!

Thumbs up

Hussey!

How good is this guy?

Posted by Ghostface on Dec-16-2006 09:43:

Gilchrist did ok as well lol 102 off 59 or so. Guess the ashes will belong to Australia by tomorrow afternoon. :-)

Posted by Trance Nutter on Dec-16-2006 09:46:

100 of 57 balls.

First 50 off 40, second 50 off 17 balls

No matter if you like cricket or not, you couldn't not be impressed by that hitting

Posted by Ian on Dec-16-2006 12:42:

bah. at least we know what we need to win now

at least we're not like SA vs india (84-8)

And, when is Strauss going to get a break. Koertzen may as well be wearing a baggy green as far as he's concerned!

Posted by Ian on Dec-16-2006 12:45:

make that 84-9 Kumble is on a hattrick

Posted by Ian on Dec-16-2006 12:50:

make that 84 all out. I feel a bit better knowing we got over 100.

Posted by Philby on Dec-17-2006 11:44:

lol
sorry ian! every time england look like they are in a strong position and can do something they lose it....tonight they are cruising only 3 down, both batsmen at the crease in good touch, ian chappell says at this stage you don't want to get distracted, you start thinking about how long to go to the end of the day, and guess what happens as soon as he says that.. 2 quick wickets to mcgrath and we have all day tomorrow to take 5 more for the win
i think we might have the ashes wrapped up pretty soon...

Posted by Ian on Dec-17-2006 12:39:

we're in stupid positions for reasons. Our bowling coach from the last ashes is now yours. why? because we wouldn't give him a longer contract than 12 months. the ECB are twats, we should've been asking him "how long do you want and how much" and done whatever it took to keep him. Now we're paying

haha
that sounds like an angry version of trainspotting

hopefully england can come back tomorrow, it will mean the melbourne test isn't a dead rubber and will be exciting

Posted by Trance Nutter on Dec-17-2006 13:23:

I've said it god knows how many times before, but Symonds is not a test player. He could take all 5 wickets tomorrow but I'll stand by that opinion.

Yeah, the ECB are not doing themselves any favours with their coaching appointments (Fletcher, Cooley) and their selection methods.

Good on Cook, good innings. Only 21 and already with 4 test centuries, you'd have to say he's gonna be really really good.

Posted by Lilith on Dec-17-2006 13:26:

Choose a santa hat. Choose your presents. Choose gift vouchers and matching cards. Choose photos with a fat guy in a three piece suit suit on hire purchase in a shopping mall. Choose eggnog and wondering who you are on a Boxing day morning!
Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing sprit- crushing xmas movie reruns, stuffing ham into your mouth. Choose vomiting away at the end of it all, hurling you last beer in a miserable sink, where none of the cousins have done the washing up to the selfish, younger cousins you have bought water pistols for hose up the house.

Choose your future. Choose christmas...

But why would I want to do a thing like that?

that's why I'm most disappointed. When you have people who're doing a great job, you do your utmost to keep them. Duncan is the ecb dream, he lets the idiots behind the scenes ruin things and doesn't complain like a better coach would.

Posted by Slade on Dec-17-2006 14:02:

Fuckin best day ever @ the waca on saturday!

Couldn't have picked a better day to have gone the cricket.

Gilly & Hussey <3 !

I think he is very average, great fielder though. But he plays stupid shots all the time, IMHO a waste of talent because he could of been the best in the world.

Watson will take his place once he is fit, Clarke is now cemented.

Hmmmm I hope pieterson and flintof just go 'FUCK IT' and take the aussies on. Push the field back then just block the ball around for the last session.

Flintoff is a shadow of the batsman he was in 2004. Adding captaincy only adds to his problems, meaning he has less time to concentrate on what makes him good. the best players (not the best captains) raise their game when they only have playing to do.
