Basically because of all of these Westerners that go to China and stage protests they're being VERY choosy of who they let in during the Olympics. Even if there are pictures of me in newspapers waving a Chinese flag during a torch passing ceremony somewhere they still see me as a potential threat.

These protesters are ruining it for the rest of the tourists there and people who want to visit China in the future. You can't just change a government like that overnight!

People have a right to fight for their beliefs and this whole Free Tibet thing isn't something I disagree with but do it in a country that allows you to! You're only going to get yourself jailed and deported.

Don't we get ticked off when foreigners come to our country and break the laws? Their laws are different but it's still THEIR LAWS.

When in Rome do as the Romans do!

And he's also kind of a freak of nature, which is why he is such a successful swimmer. He's 6 ft or just over, but his arm span is 6'7 (normally the arm span is about the same as your height) plus his inseam is only 32". All of those things help his body move better in the water.

Someone at work told me he eats 12,000 calories per day. He is FUCKED when he stops swimming. That is such an unnatural amt of food to be consuming, regardless of whether it gets burned off or not.

he's also double jointed in the shoulders and ankles....which I am sure has to be helpful in swimming.

He will definately be around in 2012 and will probably still dominate then....I think its safe to say he is the worlds greatest olympian.

God! he's such a delicious goofball <3

Hhaha. This post is so funny. You support China's laws as long as you're not the victim of those laws. And when you are, you blame the people who are trying to do something about those laws.

Your bias is showing.

So the Canadian Shot Putter missed out on a bronze medal by 1 cm....that's nuts.

I can't believe how many new Canadian Records have been set so far.

I don't support many of China's laws (some I do agree with...same goes for any other country) but when you're in another country you should follow the laws....it's plain and simple.

Anywho, back to more Phelps!!

Saw some of the wrestling last night and oh dear. I thought the Kazakh chick was a man. Way too many of those in olympics lol

That Carol Huynh chick was fast and agile as hell. Like trying to grapple with a cobra.

holy shit..did anyone just watch the Men's 100M final??

WOW, Bolt is a machine smashing the world & Olympics Record (Beat Donovan Bailey's Olympic Record from 1996) and becoming the fastest man ever!

He even kind of let up there towards the last 30M!

What a performance!!

Posted by Prometheus Xex on Aug-16-2008 15:03:

Never mind the fact that he let off at 70m... he would have got an even lower time!

The USA Basketball team is putting on a clinc in this game, just amazing basketball. I really believe this is the reincarnation of the 1992 Dream Team. No team stands a chance against this group of guys, most teams will lose by 31+ points and the closest a team will come is to lose by 21+ points

The guy can go faster, and that is why he let up. Insane performance. Such a cool title 'fastest human ever'.
