^ agreed .
I feel bad for Symonds, Flavio I couldn't care less.
Just when I thought my opinion of NPJ couldn't be lower he does this. I am disappointed he got immunity.

Why didn't Renault get a fine ? I assume they did get the money for the points they earned in Singapore ? this is a sham

I think they voluntarily put forth an acceptable proposal which included financial contributions towards FIA safety initiatives etc. so there was money involved.

The FIA couldn't apply a fine like the McLaren one a few years ago because nobody has the $$$ anymore. Renault would have folded up shop and left the championship and that would be worse for the sport.

I think this was a very balanced and pragmatic solution that came about because of the efforts of Renault before the trial. Had they denied it and dragged things out in the courts, I think the result would have been a lot nastier.

Yes, which was exactly what McLaren did in spite of all the hard evidence against them.

fuck you quebec for taxing me to hell so you could bring this boring ass "sport" back.

ecclestone can eat a dick, a diamond encrusted one

I am happy with the prospect of Canada returning to the calendar, I do agree however with Ecclestone being a diamond dick monger.

Posted by lenazi on Sep-26-2009 20:47:

it is good for the local economy for sure, but i think that every time someone gives in to ecclestone's demands it is ridiculous.

he tried to hold the gov hostage and it worked because they caved. Do not negociate with terrorists, especially considering the there were not a million other cities able to have a race that were banging on his door.

my tax money is better spent elsewhere.

just watched Singapore GP qualifying in the VIP renault box. Sucks that Hamilton won, wanted Vettel to win.

Posted by smekzg on Sep-27-2009 15:12:

results: shit.

race: above average, but too long

it was a nice race but vettel and barichello messed up bad.. this will give us a less atractive end of the season sadly..

hope dies last!

i think button will get the title, he deserves it, so does barichello and vettel, but i don't want the boring dominator to win

Let the action begin now in the drivers market!

Alonso confirmed at Ferrari for next year.

Some interesting rumours will be getting hotter too:

Barrichello to Willams ?
Rosberg to Brawn ?
Button to ? since they haven't agreed on money yet
Kimi to McLaren ?

Pls let Kimi get a competitive seat. Its killing me waiting for the announcement.

McLaren should take him back indeed.

Without a competitive car, he's likely to leave F1 next season.

They need to make it up to him, considering he lost two championships wit them because of a faulty car.

I'm loving this race, hah!

Posted by stren on Oct-18-2009 18:41:

congratulations to the world champions

well done Kubica !

Posted by stren on Oct-19-2009 21:18:

also, little did we expect Albers would start a fuel hose tug championship!
+1 Kimi @ europe 2008 and I think rubens australia 2008 (?)

The Abu Dhabi track layout is stunning. I'm already thinking of plans to attend next year

Great battle between Button and Webber at the end though Button pussied out on a couple of passing moves. Surprising pace by the Red Bull cars (especially Vettel) since they had been out of engines for the past few races.

Great drive by Kobayashi! He's been a star these two races and I have high hopes for him next year.

are you serious ? You must mean the facility , cause the layout is nothing special really

Toyota pussed out.

sad to see them leave. and that leaves Kobayashi with no ride. if he doesn't sign for some other team, he will be helping out at his dad's sushi restaurant. he's out of money

Mostly the facility. The circuit itself was interesting enough, though I think the dirty off-line areas both helped and hurt the racing. It's certainly nowhere near a classic layout, but for a Tilke design, it isn't bad since most of his other circuits are also boring.

The cars got too spaced out too fast for any of the tight corners to give us any great passing action except until near the end of the race

For some reason this pullout doesn't surprise me. They were dragging their feet and dodging questions about their driver lineup so I figured something was up.

I really want to see Kobayashi in F1 next year. He was brilliant in Brasil and Abu Dhabi

too bad for Toyota, good news for Sauber

Turkey is not boring

Turkey isn't boring, but there isn't any atmosphere (yes, I know this isn't Tilke's fault in track design - just a comment).

Bahrain and Shanghai are meh, Sepang isn't bad. Valencia (street circuit - not Ricardo Tormo that's used for MotoGP) is neat because of the overall venue but the track layout isn't exciting.

Posted by stren on Nov-06-2009 08:56:

Yep Turkey with its empty seats will be off calendar in no time, too bad cause the layout is great.
Shanghai is just atrocious, glad it will be dropped soon.
Bahrain and Sepang are not that bad, nothing too exciting though.
Tilke street circuits , nothing special, too safe for street circuits.
