After some resistance on my part due to the drive and being broke, I relented and went to Nocturnal. I guess I'm still an old raver at heart and this is one of the few shows that I'll dig out my candy gear (well at least my thirty something impression of it) and head out.

I'm happy I finally went because I had a brilliant night, chilling with friends and spent a lot of time watching the world go by. I love the energy of people who are having a good time.

Was front and center for Christopher Lawrence and as usual he delivered, in fact he saved the night for us musically. Tough trance start to finish, no cheese and pure energy. God bless him. We danced non stop and were damn exhausted by the end of his set. Ferry was good, nostalgic to hear him play some of his original tracks. Interesting to catch his Blue Moon thing, but I'd like to hear him back to some harder stuff in future. It was packed and going off in that room for CL and Ferry, we were loving it!

I could try to give you some reviews of other djs but to be honest, the nights a blur, yes I am still a raver at heart and can rise to the occasion when necessary.

Nocturnal Wonderland is a better name. Don't know why they changed it.

could be mistaken, but I believe the name was changed at the time when raves were getting negative press. "Wonderland" implies the state of mind most people in attendance will be in whereas "festival" is neutral

I heard it may be changed to Nocturnal Marsupios next year to avoid all confusion!

Next year Nocturnal should get even hotter girls to sell water, I was carrying 2 bottles constantly!

What an amazing Night. Queens Garden for the last 2 hours was sick. I didnt even CARE what Dirty South or Ferry was doing.

Green Velvet killed it, he's retarded live and I cant get enough. What a show!

Laidback was retarded : )

Christopher Lawrence, I love you. I wish I had your set recorded!

Burning man art installations were fun, especially the ones you could play with

I was very happy with how cheap water, food, and other things were.

Line was great.

Can't wait till the next Insomniac party <33333

Ya, since Dirty South changed his sound hes not as good at massives. I usually always have a good time at the orange show, but people hate it for some reason, especially since they opened up the speedway with bleachers this time around i dont have any complaints.

Since when has Dirty South changed his sound? Still enjoy listening to him more and more every time.

Posted by WiKKid sKiLLz on Oct-01-2009 20:33:

Dirty South changed some time after WMC 2008 from massive sounding anthem tracks to more tribally minimally stuff.

Follow his remixes and releases.

When he plays in NYC its pretty boring, but then again, almost anyone in NYC is boring

F*cking STUPID!!!!!!!!

Why would you NOT bring a horse to a rave? It seems like a easy way to get to the front of the stage considering all the etards that lay on the floor.

Especially if they are riding on pegasuses (pegasi?)

Does anyone know if Christopher Lawrence's set was recorded? Is there a download somewhere that I could get my hands on? I would kill to get a copy. Please, please anyone, let me know.

Bump to keep this on my resents.

I only saw partial of HCCR's set, all of Lukes, some of D/S and some of Drop The Line.

I have most of Lukes set on film. I would have had it all (and D/S set) but some was on a camera (which i have) and half was on my iPhone 3GS that got jacked at Wet Republic the next day. I still need to email DS back that the film i took is gone

The video is surprisingly good, sound quality is perfect because luckily i was recording from the stage. It was legit at the beginning of Luke's set but then a whole posse rolled up, but i was expecting that.

I never even bothered to go trance area, i almost wanted to just go back there and take a picture with Ferry but i was over the sea of people.

Also riding my bike there was a damn good idea, we were on our way to Vegas by 420am.

I know it is a week late but ehh...

We got there a little after 8pm. To get tickets you had to go inside a gate... it was crowed and people where pushing! Went to the side and snaked in.

Should have multiple areas outside to get tickets imo

Going to the right of the first maintenance saved us waiting over an hour in line.

JOOF's set: if you like JOOF's Style you would have loved it. Not really my thing by at least there was good energy.

Rank 1: BORING!!! Was not feeling what he was playing at all. And the energy was gone. Everyone around me was just standing there.

CL: If you liked his style you would have liked him too. At least he got people moving again.

Ferry: Saved the night! Such a amazing fun set! I loved the twice in a blue moon experience! Everything worked out in the end so I forgot how bad the beginning was.

Getting out of the parking lot sucked!!! I saw cops on bikes, horses and on cars... an no one directing traffic! Ummm wtf???? Thank god for GPS saved us another hour of getting on the freeway.

I knew you were gonna say that Piet's set definitely wasn't for people who like uplifting melodic trance but many people at Nocturnal seemed to enjoy it, which was nice to see. We loved the set and Sarah would've liked it too if she had been there

Anyways, it was nice seeing you!

I am surprised you didn't see me riding my bike out of that mess!

People kept on honking at me as i rode by them...

I do not know if I was board... I think Sarah would be cutting her wrist, and hanging herself at the same time!!!

Great seeing you too!
