why not spend a week on it instead of a few hours and make your decision then

Also lose the running commentary

Well I have no problems now really so no reason to get a refund. I saw a lot of people who were saying "I bought my TI last year/summer and it still doesnt work (talking about the same sync issue)" so I was planning on getting a refund if I couldn't solve that by next week.

Now I'm pretty content though, so I'll shut up. Can finally look forward to working on my first TI track tommorow, just no more time tonight. Thanks and goodnight everyone who tried to help!! (including ergos lol)

Hey Ry Thomas,
I rarely listen to peoples work on this site, but I went to your myspace page and your music is SICK bro. Seriously, good work man how long have you been making EDM for?

The one breakdown in "Inmaterial" is really cool, had fuckn goosebumps everywhere.

Wow so I will finally take the time to thank Stephen for his recommendation.
After reading some posts about the virus oscillators sucking naturally I started to get worried but after hearing it for myself today in my own hands in my own studio I LOVE IT.

I'm actually rather dissappointed in the TI performance at this point I'm seriously considering a refund.

The virus is great, its the software that fvckn sucks. Because so much of the overall functionality relies on the software, its making the virus a bitch to work with.

I NEED HELP!!!
I swear this is my last question.

The snow manual gives a real vague instruction for using multi mode and I can't figure it out in FL Studio.
I understand it has 4 parts, I don't understand how to access these parts individually in FL.

All the manual literally says is to "assign the same midi channel to each part", but I've looked all over FL and the Snow vst, and I just don't get how its done. I'm assuming I have to link the vst parts to the mixer channels, but I still cant figure it out. If someone can help me I'd really appreciate it.
Would like to use more then one sound in this track I'm doing right now.. thanks gents.

In FL Studio you can assign multiple outs.. In v9 its even easier actually.. See that little gear wheel in the top left corner of your synth? Click on it, then click on "Processing", and AUTO MAP Outputs should do the trick for you, providing you have assigned it to a mixer channel already (it then assigns usb 2 and 3 to the following channels).

"Gear wheel"?
I looked all over on the top left of the synth and theres nothing like it. Theres an icon that looks like a plug, then the down arrow for importing banks and what not, but nothing that looks like a wheel.

I clicked on both of them (plug and down arrow) just to see if there was a "processing" option and didn't see it anywhere. Maybe I'll search auto map in the manual and see if I can find out what you're talking about.. thanks

BUT i had a virus and im almost assuming if u plan to play in multimode you cannot use the VST function. im guessing it would be hell to imply. What u might need to do is make four separate midi channels from your fruity, sending on midichannels (on USB, i dont know how that looks as the virus i had didnt have USB) for example 1-4. Then u must assign your multimode-parts with their individual channels and that u do by diving in menus on the virus. Multimode settings or something, theres alot to do there. Your actualy going aside from the TI function here. Someone might tell me im wrong but im just guessing it would be difficult to make a TI function for multiple midi-channels.

You absolutely can use the multi mode with Virus Control.

In Logic, you create an instance of Virus Control, then highlight the track and select 'new with next midi channel' a few times, and you end up with four seperate midi channels all pointing to the single instance of Virus Control.

It works absolutely brilliantly. I've got no idea how it works in FL, but it's definitely doable in Virus Control.

Alright I just posted it in tech support at the FL forums, guess we'll see what they say. I'll post back if I find out just encase anyone needs to know in the future. But in the mean time it still remains unsolved.

Posted by DJ Robby Rox on Dec-04-2009 01:26:

YES!! Figured it out. You just match the port number with a midi out plugin (knew I had to that) but then you SET the channel of the midi out to the part you wanna address.
So part 2 is auto routed to channel 2, part 3 to channel 3 etc.

This synth is really getting crazier by the day, not using a shred of cpu and my track sounds fucking great.

If you look a bit harder you should be able to find them cheaper on ebay . They pop up quick though and sell fast so you need to be on top of it. But I remember seeing one recently for $650 there.

When you want to add new presets to the TI whats the best way to do it?
I added a free sound set from Manuel Schleis into: my documents > virus ti > patches (where the manual says to put new patches) but when I open up FL Studio, and browse the Snow VST, they're not there.

I rebooted FL, rebooted the Virus, and even tried the computer and they still won't show up. They are mid files like they should be does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks, this is the last newbie thing I need to learn.

There are these things called manuals. Read them.

I read the manual and THATS WHY I'm having this problem, because what the MANUAL SAID to do DOESN'T WORK.

If you READ my post would would have noticed that..

Posted by DJ Robby Rox on Dec-04-2009 07:00:

And I figured it out anyway, the second bank I tried worked, both were for TIs but apparently only one works for the snow.

Manual said presets are interchangable between all TI models, doesn't seem to be the situation after seeing this..

Any TI bank should work fine on the Snow. All TI models have the same sound engine....the only difference between the models is the DSP power.

Which bank are you trying?
