i will be seeing Piet from Rank 1 tonight and Raul and Piet were friendly, they had him as one of their top friends on Myspace for a long time. i will pass this sad news on to Piet when i see him. he really loved their productions and DA was one of the reasons i gave Rank 1 a chance after an AVB set one night in LA and i was so glad i did. i ended up loving them and raul and i bonded over them from that night on.

I didn't know Raul as much as a lot of other people on this board, but it's apparent that he was a good friend, and meant a lot to everyone. Tragic.
Rest in peace.
All in all I think those of us who knew the Real Raul, know that he was WAY TOO SPECIAL OF A BEING to be part of this Normal World.
I have been thinking a lot about it and at first yes I was very very angry at him for not reaching out to one of his closer friends. Apparently he tried, but it wasn't someone who cared enough to do anything about it.
But at this point, I am thinking that He always knew he didn't belong, that he was a part of a much more Beautiful Existence and he was only here to impact the live's of all of us. His Journey had finally come to an end he had to now leave us so that he can finally be where he always belonged.
"May his Dark Wings spread wide so that he may finally Fly Free of all his Misery's"
Why would we want to contain such a soul like Raul's? It would be selfish to try and keep him here just for our benefit. I know that where ever he is now HE FINALLY BELONGS!!!
I have to agree with you with the fact that i was also angry with him because he promiced me he will be fine (at least he wil try)he promiced me that we will meet one day and when i realise that He is Gone and that I will never receive any of his emails now i am rereading them again I am such broken

Ofcource i can check for you beside I was already thinking before I will make the first original post that I am going to create an album to fb just with his photos even that i dont have the permission from other people He is with him so...
The problem is that the spesific photo album has photos from 2007 (including Trance Energy photos ofcource)so I havent seen any kids yet but i can check a bit if you want

At first, I was thinking of dedicating a DJ Mix to Raul, but I'm sure that's going to be done soon. So now I'm thinking of writing a track for him. I only know a few trance songs he liked though like Force of Gravity (Ferry Corsten Bootleg) and Rank 1 - Breathing (what mix did he like?).
Anyway, if someone could post some stuff he enjoyed. I'd get a better understanding of what to do.
He gave me a ride from my hotel to Space in 2006. It was literally a ride for my life. It will always be memorable.

Why, you may ask? If there was one person that I had never seen so ecstatic at a trance party, it was definitely DarkAngel. He couldn't have been happier about Rank-1's set @ Armada Night! He was definitely one of the persons who stands out in my awesome memories of WMC 2007!
