No idea how to make it, but I'm pretty sure there's a way of making it synthetically (not from tree bark), and that the synthetic type tends to be stronger.

Yep its called acacia tree bark. The plant leaves/stems/roots are sometimes made into a brew together consumed orally for healing, ceremonial or religious uses. My brother in law did some kinda retreat thing with these native indians who drink the stuff all the time but this method of extraction isnt very potent and is basically a mushroom high.

I'm not really sure. I've only ever eaten 1/8 of shrooms, and it was nothing at all like DMT. They have completely different psychoactive compounds, and typically produce vastly different experiences. Maybe in mass quantities shrooms give you more of a similar experience, but it sounds more like your DMT was whack or you didn't smoke/ingest enough of it, or you didn't do it right.

A "real" DMT breakthrough involves ego-death, which I've never even come close, and have never heard of anyone coming close to with Psilocybin.

EDIT: read your last post, and it's extremely hard to "break through" when you're ingesting it orally in a tea or whatever. Smoking it usually gives you the strongest effects.

I took 5g dry on a few occasions after fasting and I would say I came pretty f-ing close.

I believe anyone can experience ego death on salvia divinorum, LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, DXM, or DMT. I think it just depends on the strength of the drug and the tolerance of the individual. Your experiences may not be directly associated with everyone elses and vice versa but I do agree that your chances are obviously greatly increased with DMT since it in its natural form is highly potent.

Ugh, Salvia I've experienced ego-death with salvia about 3 times, and that was 3 times too many. Not fun.

All the others, especially LSD, psilocybin, and mescaline, I think would last too long to be enjoyable. I've never done mescaline myself, but I don't particularly care for shrooms. The only way I can describe it is that they feel...dirty? I feel poisoned and tend to be sick to my stomach for large portions of the trip (Yes, I know psilocybin isn't poison as many people posit).

Obviously there are different ways of achieving ego-death (sometimes without any drugs at all) but all I'm saying is that it's much more difficult and you'd have to take a ton of any of those others (other than Salvia or DMT). Actually, I'd say the easiest and most sure-fire way to achieve ego-death would be Salvia extract. Anything 20x and up has almost guaranteed it for me, but again,

I've never been a huge fan. Interestingly enough, I had my first experience with nitrous oxide (other than at the dentist) the other day, and that brought me as close to ego-death as I've been without actually experiencing it.
