Yeah man, it makes a huge difference.

That is the best seasoning ever invented. Maryland blue crab smothered in that is possibly my favorite food.

Is this common in Canada? I was under the impression that, in the Americas, people in average have great grandparents coming from at least 9 different countries... even if any given person has just 8 great grandparents

The Irish, Italian, and Chinese dominated in terms of immigration numbers to Canada (and the US) at the turn of the last century. I'm 2 of those, and immigrated to the 3rd. Take that Mao!

is that even a question when talking about americans?

I heard of people using garbage cans and usually around thanksgiving there are reports of fires and shit.

Hahaha! My goodness it's a combination nightmare of cholesterol and a napalm strike if it falls over.

My own cooking and diet has become a lot more dull as there are just certain things fussy eaters in this house won't touch. Most things I personally like seem to have either direct French or is influenced by that style of cooking. Plus when you give it a go yourself it can be quite a lot of fun.

There are definitely a lot of "mutt" Americans, but it's definitely not all of us. I'm a pretty "pureblood" one, with great-grandparents primarily coming from Germany and the Netherlands, and one from Ireland.

The ingredients say "spices and herbs (including red pepper and black pepper), salt, and paprika. Very simple but oh so delicious.

He said the 'Americas' (South-Central Non-US)

White People will be a minority by 2040 in the US. White people are too generous in America.

You know what I've never had? Korean BBQ.

I know. Shut up.

Big up to the "Never had Korean Barbecue" posse!

...

I don't believe that's surprising in my case though

That's why I said that: I'm used to hearing people say "they're 1/16 Cherokee" or something of the sort in the US, so this is all very surprising to me. Like Jay being half Irish, half Italian - here in Brazil, if he were Italian, he'd say he's half Italian, one eighth Irish, partly Native American, and - just so it has a Jayian ring to it - he'd say his cock is definitely his African bit.

Incidentally, I thought you were just Dutch/German, and had your surname changed into something pronounceable in English once your family emigrated. It all makes sense now

Korean BBQ is best BBQ.

Yeah, of my immediate friend group, I'd guess maybe 1/3 of them are mutts with 1/16 Native American of some sort, 1/3 are mutts sans the Native American (eg one of my close mates has great-grandparents from 5 European countries and Japan), and 1/3 are "purebloods" from a small handful of countries.

I'm 4/8 Dutch, 3/8 German, and 1/8 Irish. I have no contact with the side of my family that the 1/8 Irish came from and it's such an insignificant amount that I really don't pay any attention to it. Just think of myself as American, Dutch, and German.

No. My cock is all Italian.

The Chinese part of it is that it can hop up in the air and stay suspended for an insane amount of time before deftly whacking you in the face.

Crouching fist pump, hidden urinary tract infection.

Korean BBQ is good. That being said, there are way more components to Korean cuisine than just the BBQ. It isn't even close to being the best thing from that food culture.
