I very much prefer the 280s. The sound quality and isolation are, without doubt, superior IMO. My only problem with them is that I wish they were more comfortable. The 700s are definitely more comfy. The 280s are mine, the 700s are someone else's.

no he didn't attack the needle.. then.

but a couple of weeks ago i went to throw a record on, to discover that the stylus from one of my whitelabels was totally mangled. looks like my cat was chewing on it. Had to buy a replacement needle, and now I'm definitely making good use of my dust covers.
