ummm does Robert even spin??? Can you please entertain me with tracklistings. And have you ever heard Lawrence spin?? I seriousely doubt that. like really really doubt it.

Chris may be a little higher then he should be. I think he should be around 20. I really enjoy his style, there isn't another dj that plays quite like him. He plays this wierd Hard Prog, tech trance techno style. Maby askew is kind of close

The judge says you should go back to the ASOT hole you craweld from.

i don't know why people are so mad, tiesto is not MY favorite dj in the world, but he is HUGE and would probaly draw more people to event than any other dj in the world right now, i voted for tiesto too, and i put him as #1, now is he the most talented dj in the world-no way! not even close, but he IS THE BIGGEST DJ in the world right now, bottom line, he is massive.

I 100% agree. This list is about the most POPULAR 100 DJ's, anyone who can't understand that is blind. If this were judged by a expert panel then we might be able to consider this a SKILL based list. The results are voted by fans, and it's rather OBVIOUS that Tiesto has the most fans.

Btw, I really thought Armin van Buuren would have beat out Paul van Dyk. I do believe that, that is one of many injustices in this list. But I can't blame anyone b/c it's the fans voting...

so tiesto isnt your favorite dj, but he is the best dj, and that is why you put him #1? That sounds like some female reasoning to me.

i wish i could put into words how shitty armin is. But i cant. People that vote for armin, are worse then the pole results itself.

rofl at both of those points, haha

1. Tiesto
2. Paul Van Dyk
3. Sasha
4. Armin Van Buuren
5. Same order as the last year, with a few small suprises

BTW Tiesto wins again this year because of his huge fan base.

Is there another reason the #1 dj sould be #1?

I really don't understand your reasoning...

Armin has always had good mixing skills whether LIVE or mixed for a compilation. I have PLENTY of live sets to back that up. He is great live and he is LOVES the music he spins and have a lot of graditude and love for the fans who support him.

Why don't you indulge me in explaining WHY Armin is so horrible as a DJ that I should be sentenced to death for voting for him and showing my support of his career?

Posted by Dan1584 on Oct-29-2004 03:24:

Oh wait...I just read your signature. It all makes sense now. Your just pissed off b/c I said AvB should have beaten out PvD. Just because ur a PvD whore doesn't mean anyone who mentions DJ's that they think are above your quoted favorite are idiots.

OK,

In my opinion Armin has verry good beatmatching skills, and it seems like he phase matches well. But thats the same as just about every other semi good dj that i have ever heard. A&b B&J JG...In my opinion just being able to beatmatch is not good enough. Ive heard tons of live sets. I Boundaries of Imagination is a fuckin great cd. But its not really the mixing that has my attention there, its the tracklisting. Being great live, doesnt mean jumping all over the place is a bonus. I understand that he loves the music and loves the fans. But today he does not have anything that seperates him from the hundreds of other djs that has his style. All the people that go look for tracks he just put out on armind. In my opinion not to many of thoes tracks have a special touch like wow. Armin used to play stuff like circia forever, affinity, solarcoaster. Thoes are special tracks. Stuff like jump the next train is bleh, compaired to them.
Armin's mixing also for sum reason just lacks "energy and power." In a lot of cases it seems dull. Instead of going from 1 track, then using mixing, and effects to lead, and build, or lower the enegy to the next track, he doesnt. It seems mellow and just boring. Just another 1:1000000000000 beatmating jobs. It may flow, but its just un eventful. Ive never said holy shit how did he do that 1. Tiesto's mixing is awkward to. Maby because its a bit rushed. But he seems to do a solid job of bringing a huge amount of energy to his next track. For example listen to energy 99. His matching actually blows, but the energy is unreal, and it makes it work.

just because he loves he music and what he does doesnt mean he is good at it eh? i dont like his mixing skills either. read the sandstorm post too. any bedroom dj can do what armin does. crazy huh?

i dont think that was his reason. do you think i say he has bad mixing skills because i have momu as my avatar. come up with someone better than that man. am i automatically just saying i dont like it because i think he plays commercial stuff. no, its because if i listen to his set, that is what i think

any bedroom dj can do what he does as far as mixing, producing is a different story.

well, i guess he can produce, im not really a fan of his newer work, liked the old stuff a lot better. i guess being able to produce, and putting out quality is a different story though

Posted by Dan1584 on Oct-29-2004 03:48:

I'm not going to sit here and argue with you because that is exactly what Markus Schulz posted a topic about, all this insane and stupid back and forth arguing that [dj X] is better than [dj y] because of [?].

Lets just agree to disagree, as we should all. There is no point of all of this b/c all of our opinions are different.

I have many top DJ lists and they go from "My Fav. Skilled DJ" to "My Fav. Entertainer DJ" and Armin is on my Entertainer list b\c of the obvious reasons. Am I saying he's the best? No, I'm just saying I think he's more entertaining than other certain DJ's.

In terms of popularity, which this Poll is based off of I just find it rather odd that PvD made it above AvB because PvD hasn't made any noise this year what-so-ever. Armin has created a lot of attention with ASOT and his 2 mix comps he's put out this year. That beind said, I congradulate PvD for remaining 2nd most popular in spite of how well marketed other DJ's on the list were this year. I guess that goes to say something about PvD and his fan base.

But PvD isn't my cup of tea (except for his "PoD" Cd), but I still respect him and his career.

I find it funny how people bashed each other for giving the 'fake' list before the list's been 'released' like 8hours ago, not knowing that it's actually the results. HAHAHA.... SHOCKER!

I didnt vote for djmag.
Top 3 still the same zzz.
Why is Tiesto still there? Let me feels that the fan base of tiesto is so big n 1337 that it's reached this so high level of popularity and idolism (is that the right worD).

Sucks.

Posted by PvD_Rz on Oct-29-2004 03:56:

I dont believe it, why? Tiesto #1 Forever?, this top is so boooring.
Tiesto again? Tiesto make me sick.
